Frankly, ignoring security issues, IE 6 is the best in my opinion. It's fast, whereas it takes me nearly 10 seconds to open a new tab in IE 8. Also, it seldom crashes and the interface is clean, without those accelerators and stuff.

I like ie8 better than ie7. It's cool with lot of new features. My sister also likes ie8. Windows7 comes with ie8. First our system was windows7. Since we couldn't install certain softwares we want, we changed it to windows xp. But my sister was furious when she saw the internet explorer. So I updated it to ie8.

i tried IE 6, IE 7 and IE 8..so far I like Internet Explorer 7.. its less complicated and does not require more RAM memory than IE 8.. many toolbars and conveniently positioned..tools are more extensive than IE 6...

IE7 was created to make use of tabbed browsing. and IE8 was created to make use of the changed in the Internet and how web page are created. As an example IE8 makes use of "web slices" that are now being used on some web pages. Without IE8 some websites you visit may have some content that don't display correctly or sometimes not at all. Although I endeavor to create web pages that will display correctly in all browsers that isn't always possible. Take are example my website http://ChuckBaker.org. If you look at it with both IE and FireFox you will see the difference.
