Hello mylotters, this is my first time posting from a long period of hibernating. Honestly, one reason i seldom submit discussions here is the number of respondents I would send back my comments and compliments. For me, I feel awkward and unfair to those respondents who never given even just simple "thank you for responding".
It is because if I would be one of the respondents, I would try my best to respond the best I could from a certain topic submitted. Of course, I need also a comments from the author of the topic. Just a sort of compliments after all the effort I exerted for the benefits of every readers and members.
On my part, I hate not to give any comments and compliments from the topic I submitted, though it would be perspiring effort to do so especially you would have to reply say..25 respondents..takes really time doing it...
How about you what's your stand about this...?
Thanks..

Well, I always try to comment back to member who has responded to my discussions. I feel guilty if I didn't comment back to their response. Perhaps, they think I never read their response I got. Never comment back to response that we got is like throw a problem and then you wash your hand. I found some member like that and honest, I have been irritated since they never comment on my response. I think what I've done it in vain. I don't want other member feel upset so, I try to comment on response that I got. Just ask your friend Oldchem about me

Hello de_toya..I appreciate that..I guess you're one of educated people who knows what is compliments to those people who are working hard just to keep the author be satisfied. Our social site here is international. Some people here has some problem in their English language but they are striving hard to express themselves on the topics posted and some author just feel nothing for it..would that be fair?
Am sure your answer si NO WAY!!!
Thanks for responding my friend....

Some people here has some problem in their English language and so do I. I am not proficiency in English but I always try to the best I can do. When other member who started discussions never comment back on my responses, I feel irritated. I've just placed myself in responder position whenever I started discussions. Sure they will get irritated if I didn't comment on their responses. Comment back on their responses mean that I really read their responses and this is kind of appreciate their work. By the way, thank you for choosing my response as the best. I feel very honored for this. Thanks a lot.

I think I made a substantial comment of people acknowledging comments, however cannot remember the contents. When I start a discussion I put thought into it. I also do a search to insure it isn't a duplicate discussion. It is my understanding that simply saying "thank you" isn't appropriate. It is important to acknowledge the contents of the original discussion. Sometimes it is extremely difficult.
I thought just crossed my mine. If a person starts numerous discussions at the same time it might be difficult to acknowledge all responses. I personally only have one or two discussions at the same time. I complement and tie my response to the original discussion. I go back and give best response unless there is only one or two comments. When I am searching for a discussion, I rate comments that are well-written and comprehensive. I think I covered everything.
Prosperous mylotting

Hi mobhomeir! I hope you have been well.
I do always acknowledge all the responders to my discussions. I can't start a discussion if I don't plan to be active in it. I also appreciate the responses of everyone and want to thank them for their participation regardless of how they feel about my discussion. Take care.

hi daddy!
huh! how come i didn't see this one in my inbox? tsk tsk...
anyway i am very happy to see you back!
when i am just starting, i don't usually comment back to my responders and i really feel guilty about it. but now, its already something natural to me to comment back and show my appreciation to those who takes time to read and respond in my discussion. even a short thanks will be fine as long as you were able to tell them that you acknowledge their presence in your posts. hehe but it will be better if we can still say more to discuss. after all discussion is what we need here.
hope to see more of you here daddy..keep on posting, many are missing you already!

Hello eloime yes..just like old times..old time friends here...just focusing here..but nowadays? where are those people I usually replied with? Well, maybe they found something more interesting and more compensated... but I am glad no matter what, there are still few people who really knew where they came from before what they are now..though they are so busy, may it be on their other online and offline businesses or something else but they still care to drop by here..I don't want to mention some of them because I am afraid I would miss one...HELLO GUYSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS Just like old times okay!!!!

I always thank people if they take the trouble to respond to my discussions and if I feel it's appropriate, yet I will compliment them on their answers and insight. I don't tend to do this for the sake of it, because I don't think I would be showing my true feelings. I always try and be as polite as I can, as I don't see any value in being rude to anybody. If people are rude to me, and that hardly ever happens, then I just don't respond at all, there no point in having any unpleasantness here on myLot. _Derek

Hello Mobhomeir,
How are you? Hope you are doing fine?
I too came after a long time. I was on my vacation for one month and when I reached back I got busy with office works. Now I am not sure about how things are going on in mylot. If you refer about those people who are not commenting back to their responders, earlier also people were there, just concentrating posting discussions only. The experts in mylot never do the same because they knew that how commenting back will work for them positively. So better you please don’t give much importance on that.

hi mobhomeir did you not read the guidelines. we are not to thank the people who responded to our discussions, instead we are to make real comments telling us what you think of our responses or adding something but no thanks as its against mylot rules so thats why I do not say thank you but t will say I think this is a great discussion and i think so and so . this is a complement but not a rubber stamp thanks. those mean nothing too easy to keep repeating, just like have good day becomes silly after awhile. as for 25 responses I get a lot more and try my best to give a good comment on all of them.. now remember mylot says do not say thanks, instead write a good comment .yes you are right we must all acknowledge the work people put into their responses by making complimentary comments.

Yes my friend...that's what I suppose to mean..for me compliments is not limited only of thank you..any form of commenting after replying it I considered compliment. Something you can say after responders of course replied you posted topic. The least would may be "thank you and blah blah. Knowing that at least your replies was being read by the author of the topic. Anyway, at least I know from you that it would just be alright with you if you would not be commented after your replies. At least I would not be worried if I could not comment on your reply on my topics...
Seriously I respect highly on your opinion, you're one of my idols here...
Thanks for responding my friend..

this is one reason i for one of the many members here, do not create a lot of discussions. there are still lots of members who start discussions, a series of discussions in a day. but they almost forgot to give comments back to their responders. frankly, i did this when i was new. but when i get older here, as they say, i found out that this is not proper and will not give you much earnings.
yes, i seldom start discussions. i may start a discussion daily, but not discussions everyday. i want to give concentration in one discussion i created. i always try to give my best comment to each and every response that i get. and i start a discussion only if i am really interested to it.

I have only started one discussion and I tried to reply to all the responses I got. It did take a good bit of time, but if the person took the time to respond, then I felt I should also. After all, it is supposed to be a discussion and not just posting of your thoughts or feelings. I don't usually give any compliments. There is not a reason, I just don't think of it.
It seems there are some people who start discussions and then that is it. I can't see the sense in doing that. Unless they are just trying to make money. I don't consider that a discussion.

Hi Mobhomeir
Welcome back to the Mylot fold
There seem to be two groups of members on here - the ones who just post a discussion and leave it at that and those who will endulge in a full blown discussion.
To me those who don't leave any responses are wrong, is just NOT a discussion! When I post a discussion I look forward to people responding and to be able to keep the discussion going for awhile.
