I know avocado and honey is meant to be good, lots of fruit and vegetables as well as they say, but are any any specific types of food that are especially beneficial for maintaining good skin?

Superfoods are really good for your skin and include berries, nuts and seeds. Sesame seeds and apricots improve skin tone. Eat foods rich in the essential fatty acids, omega-3 and omega-6. Omega-3 can be found in oily fish while omega-6 can be found in sunflower oil and corn oils. Foods rich in vitamin C, such as strawberries, blueberries, oranges and broccoli, help produce collagen that strengthens the capillaries that feed the skin. Foods that contains sulphur, such as garlic and onions, help keep skin smooth. Foods that are rich in vitamin A (eggs and milk) and vitamin E (almonds, hazelnuts and pine nuts) are also good for your skin. Don't forget to drink plenty of water!

I'm not too keen on nuts myself, - have a slight allergy to them, but with berries we've been getting a lot more of, especially the blueberrues, we're trying this out tight now, apparently it's packed and loaded with antioxidants, but we always have to wait until it's on promotion - £1.50 for a small little tub punnet!

Try frozen blueberries-they're much cheaper and just as good for you. Blueberries are "superfoods" and it is recommended that you have one portion of them everyday! That's a lot for me especially because I don't really like blueberries. I do enjoy blueberry muffins though.

I don't think we can get frozen blue berries over here, onlyf rozen vegetables. I've never thought about frozen fruit and never knew it was possible to buy them this way, obviously popular in other countries, don't think we can get them here though...I'll still ask aound at the supermarket, thanks !!

Yogurt, honey, and extra virgin olive oil are all good for your face. The extra virgin olive oil isn't the type of oil that makes your face break out. Have you tried to make a facial scrub out of home made items? Organic cane sugar, a little bit of extra virgin olive oil and some honey! It works wonders!

OOOh, I've been looking into that too, using food and natural ingredients, so much better than those harsh chemicals... :)
