how to repair a windows xp?

hi friend today my PC is gone stuck and not working even after i tried a lot. now i want to know how to repair a windows xp. please hurry and help me. currently i am from my friends laptop. pleaase help me urgently

Hi shibilyt how can you be so sure that the Operating Ssytem of your computer is damaged?Still if you want to repair your OS then insert the Os disk inside the CD ROM and there you will find an option which is C which states that you can repair your OS without reinstalling it.Press the key and get your OS repaired.Hope that this post will help you to get rid of the problem.

i am using a xp sp3 downloaded from net. and it doesnt have a repair option what to do now?

Hi shib reformat the entire OS as that is the only solution available at this stage.

simple reinstall a new windows xp cd,your system will be a new one but make sure u only format c drive where you want to install XP otherwise entire system data will be lost

well how is it not working? blue screen? will not load? its stuck in random or in the same spot/time can you give me more details?
