Cant type % # ( ) etc letters on keyboard when hitting shift?

in notepad i just hit shift and if I wanna type the dollar sign and all the others it works, but in firefox it doesnt since yesterday...please help. I'm using european keyboard and i have all settings set right in language options

Hi, if you have an extra keyboard, try to see if the same situation occurs. Or alternatively, use your current keyboard on another PC.

Apologies, didn't read clearly your problem encountered. Maybe you want to try and disable the plugins/add-ons? By the way, are you using Windows or Mac?

I gree with damed_dle. The problem most likely comes from the add-ons installed on your brower. Try to remove the add-ons you have just installed recently and find out if the problem still exist or not. The easiest way to get it around is to switch to anoter brower if it doesn't bother you.

What add-ons do you have on firefox? Try turning them off, especially speed dial.

Those are lots of add ons! lol. I suggest removing those you dont use anymore. Have tried turning it all off and then try typing again. That should fix the problem. And then just turn on one by one. Until you find which is affecting it. A lot of work considering the numbers of add ons you have, so remove first the things you don't use.
