Summer Programs

Remember when TV networks used to air reruns during the summer? So a person could catch up if they had missed some of the episodes of their favorite TV shows. That doesn't seem to happen much anymore. TV networks now have new programming during the summer, which isn't new for cable of course. So what have you been watching during the summer? I watch less TV in the summer, but I still like to catch a couple of shows that air this time of the year. Deadliest Catch for one (although I am ready with tissues for the last 4 episodes of the season due to Phil's stroke). I used to try to catch Top Chef, but haven't done that this season. Of course there are always marathons to catch me up. I'm also going to try to watch the new show on TNT, Rizzoli and Isles (with Angie Harmon, Sasha Alexander, Donnie Wahlberg).
So what are you watching during this summer season? Any show coming up soon that you are looking forward to? My parents and sister really like The Closer.

Well I love watching tv so I think I may be able to help. I like to watch Pysch which is on USA it is a really good show about a fake physic detective. It is really funny that sometimes I laugh so hard I cry. There is also Royal Pains which is about this concierge doctor in the Hamptons there is a little bit of drama but its just to have a story line. Another one to check out is White Collar, this one is about a white collar criminal that is now working with the FBI to solve the same kind of crimes that had put him in prison. Everyone knows about CSI: Miami and that is always a fun show to watch. Another good show to watch that is on in the summer and winter is NCIS its a little bit like Law & Order but alot more interesting because there is this boss on there named Gibbs and he is very interesting and fun to watch. There is also In Plain Sight which is about US. Marshalls relocating witnesses and all the behind the scene things that go on in doing that.
I hope this helps you finds something good to watch.

I love In Plain Sight. USA has some really good programs. They have a new one coming out, Covert Affairs. It reminds me of the premise of Alias, but I guess it is supposed to be funnier, a little less serious. Have you seen the commercial for it?
Do you also watch the spinoff of NCIS, NCIS:LA?

hi ambie pam I havepretty much given up on watching tv as the others never seem to want to see the programs that I like and too I am here my lotting a lot.I would so love to see tHat Hot in Cleveland as Betty White was one of my favorites in Golden Girls too. I get on my computer I am usually gone for the day. we have no programs here any more so I can watch stuff on the computer instead.,I was off the computer yesterday until my son fixed a loose connection on my cable modem. then last night mylot was just crawling along,it was terrible. made a whole 53 cents for the evening. wow. most days I hit over a dollar so looks like I am going to be a few dollars short on making my internet bill but thats okay as I get my social security check on the first which will help even with the money that they take out for room and board.

We don’t have cable so we don’t know a lot of the programmes you are referring to. I find that in the summer all my favourite shows are in hiatus so we don’t watch a great deal of T.V. at all; we take the opportunities to go walking instead. My favourites are Supernatural and Flashforward along with Australian shows like Home and Away and Packed to the Rafters.

I watch a lot less television in the summertime when all my regular shows are not on. I actually don't watch much television at all anymore. I mostly watch them on hulu.com the day after they air. I have been catching a few episodes of America's Got Talent the last few weeks, but that is about it.

I've watched the first two episodes of Hot in Cleveland and love it. I think Betty White is quite a hoot because she's 88 years old and says things that you wouldn't expect an 88-year-old to say. Of course, the other actors are great, too, but Betty White makes the show. I doubt we'll have her around much longer because, well, she IS 88 so I'm very glad that she's in this new sitcom.
I don't watch much TV normally but when I'm able to catch things I like on at the same time that I HAVE the time, I'm happy.
I kinda miss the old days when you knew when the season ended and summer reruns began. You also knew when the new shows started. They always coincided with the start of school so I had mixed feelings about that time of year. lol

Hi Amber~ I hardly watch any tv at all anymore! I spend more
time on here or just reading stuff on the Internet! I have
just gotten bored watching tv lately. I know that I should try
some of these new shows, but I wasn't even keeping up with
the old shows I liked! I don't even know what's on anymore. I
still watch General Hospital almost every day and if I miss
it will try to watch it on Soapnet, but they are taking that
Channel and changing it in September to some Disney show. I
also seem to watch more tv in the Winter. I know which shows to
watch and when they are on! Maybe I'll check some stuff out
and see what's on later!

I really have not watched much television at all this summer. Too busy. I may catch an hour of CSI or Criminal Minds but not much else. I like to watch the news channels as so much is going on in my country. I do like detective programmes and like to see the odd sloppy movie n lifetime too. Sometimes I watch Nancy Grace as well

Actually I don't have anything in sight to see in summer. Usually in my country the programming follows the same timeline, not differing in summer. doesn't even pass the kind of reruns or nem series just during the summer.
