Have you ever purchased something to fill a void?

I'm talking about anything from video games to clothes to jewelry. I recently saw some jeans that I liked from Express and I wanted to buy it then just in case I were to regret it in the future. I know shopping brings some people happiness and maybe some people shop to make themselves happy. What about you, have you shopped to fill a void?

I wish I have the money to shop just to fill a void. Unfortunately I don't have the money to spend luxuriously and even though I like shopping I can't buy anything out of a desire. I like going window shopping though, and if I want to buy something I always make sure that it is not an expensive item and I know that I can afford to buy it without jeopardizing my monthly expenses.
There are times when I have extra money and that is when I have lots of writing projects going on. So, during that time I will buy something that I have been longing for a long time, but still the price is not expensive and I only buy it because I need it and not just because I want to own it.
Well, it's good that you have the money to shop because I totally agree that shopping is a therapy for the mind. Shopping makes me happy and I pray that one day I will have enough money to shop around without thinking about saving some money for later needs.
