Noynoy popularity is very high. It seems that many people assumes him to be the BEST FIT for the position. But since former President Estrada sat, this position seems to be "BOGUS"... a good start but bad ending. Will Aquino reigns the same? or will he lead the Philippine to a brigther future?

i listened to his inaugural speech this noon and if he can do what he said, ours will be a very good nation again.
am very hopeful that he gets full support and also eliminate corruption or at least minimize the same until his term ends in 6 years. if he does, i will vote for him again if he runs.

Every new President in Malacañang starts with a clean slate. Well, everyone is entitled to one.
Philippines need big changes and these changes can't happen in just one blow. It takes time. It takes years. It takes decades. It may even take centuries (in our case). I believe this change that we want won't happen in just Aquino's term. If Aquino did well, the next President should be continuing what Aquino have started and be better than the previous. Of course, I am being idealistic.
Aquino must take proper strides toward change. I believe his first step would be purging corrupt officials off the Philippine government.
The Philippine government is rich in political dynasties, families who reigned for almost a hundred years, including our new president's bloodline. The existence of such dynasties can be proved when one would look at the Senate, at the Congress, and at Maguindanao, for example. I think, if the control of these political dynasties in the government would be cut off, the alleviation of the Philippines from poverty would be highly probable.
The outlook of the Filipinos changes through time and presidential era. If the new president could change the Philippines and the Filipino people, then Philippines is heading for the big change that the Filipino want.
From the Filipinos, for the Filipinos. Philippines for Philippines. (Not Philippines for the USA.)
Noynoy isn't perfect. But he must take proper strides, strides that the previous presidents avoided because these strides actually benefit the Filipino people more than them.

Well, we don't know yet as of this time. Because He still new in power and all those promises is also a promise from the previous president but nothing to be fulfilled.
Just to see what happen next if he fulfill those words that he promise before the crowd of people hoping for change.
But whatever the president is good in his own. The problem is that on the local officials that never stop to corrupt...

Yeah I think so...Coz we won't be voting for him if we think he can't handle to be the president of our country. In his inauguration, in his speach, he talks very honest and sincere and aggresive. Let us not be negative, let's hope and pray for the best and may he start and ends as a good and intelligent leader of our country. Mabuhay to Noynoy and Binay, may they be great leaders of our great nation!!!!!!

I'm very hopeful with Noynoy, If he successfully put an end to corruption as he promised in his campaign.. Philippines will soar into new heights.. he could practically bring out the Philippines from its current third world state..

as for me, I don't really care who is in the position, just as long as they have a HEART. but sometimes, the President DO have one, but the people around him doesn't (much worst... corrupt and super GREEDY) Like you, I'm also hoping for a new era this time.. ^.^ thanks for the response.

based on the interviews he had, i admire him for his political will, politician skills and the common sense... i just hope he can make his vision a reality... he's focused on really making things work... but our problems are the influences of those around him. may he gets the best people around. and those people who will criticize him - as always - no good president to them... it's not for him to make it work, but for all of us to work together.

He was a 3-term congressman and he was not a good one. He became senator and was unable to pass a single bill. Now he is the president, what do you expect?

I think it is still too early to tell whether or not he will be a good president. What we can all do is hope for the best not only for him but also for our country.
He can not do all the work of bringing a brighter future for our country, he needs all the help he can get. Let us all do our part in fighting poverty and corruption.

Noynoy might be a good president provided that his administration will make a good, important and systematic approach on the things that might need a change. Noynoy should be firm of what he promise in his campaign. And the first thing that he must do is to make hold and dethrone graft and corruption on his admministration.

It's not us nor Aquino can answer your question, my friend. We can't say what the future holds. The best thing that we can do for now is to be good law abiding citizens and I hope our president reciprocates that. I wasn't really one of those INTO him people during the elections, but the nation have spoken and the best thing to do is to help one another. The president's decisions and actions impact the development of the nation. However, let's not forget that there's only one President and there are millions of us ordinary citizens.
A great ready for the inauguration Tuesday evening =)

let us hope, we badly need a good leader, not great but a good one will do..arroyo tried to be good as she claimed but she ain't enough..maybe we need someone like mandela (i just watched his biopic film)..we need someone who can unite as and move forward..Arroyo failed because of the bad start she fell unto, (alleged cheating)
noynoy's father said the very basic of democracy is an honest and clean election, noynoys win was perceived by many as clean and honest one,, maybe he can capitalize on this one and move as all forward.
