So, I was wondering, which of you use the medicine Concerta (or knows someone who uses it?) and wants to share his/hers experience? I just am curious what you think are the advantages/disadvantages for you.

I know this thread is kind of old but I figured I would reply anyway. For me, I have not had any real bad side effects. I just started seven days ago and in those seven days I have lost seven pounds. That's a little troublesome because no one wants to lose a lot of weight in a drastic amount of time considering it's extremely unhealthy. I also haven't slept very much. Other than those two things though, that's it! No headaches or anything else.
I am not concentrating so well though. I am more alert and kind of more... here, I guess. But I still have a ridiculous amount of energy lol and the only thing it has made me do is kind of be able to handle the daily tasks of day to day things. But as for school, I think I am going to have to add on Adderall.

My son was on Concerta for several years. It worked for him but he had many side effects. He had to have a pill to help him sleep and an antidepressant to help with the ticks he had from it. After we had his dose as high as we could it stopped working. They added Stratera to see if that would help. He was like a walking zombie. I took him off of everything for a month and then just put him on the Stratera. He has done the best on it. Concerta works for many as did for my son but the side effects just wasnt worth it to me.
