How different would your life be without the internet?

I know my life would be completely different as I seem to be addicted to trying to earn a few extra bucks online plus there is hardly a day that goes by where I'm not here on mylot having fun. I have prepaid internet & 2 weeks ago, I ran out of credit so I had no internet for a week. I actually got heaps more things done around the house than what I do when I do have internet credit!!
During the day, I went through alot of my stuff & was able to start de-cluttering & of a night time, I went back to crocheting while watching tv after dinner...
The only difference without having the internet is that I wouldn't be able to earn extra money online or keep in contact with friends who don't live near by.

My life would be extremely different as our business that we run from home would not survive without the internet. As our store is online and the processing of payments is online, if we did not have the internet, then I would have to go back to working on cars again to make a living. I do not want to do that!
I do know what you mean though about the internet taking up lots of time. I must admit to being addicted to it. Every now and then I force myself to stay away from the computer and am amazed at what I can achieve in a day!

I too am amazed at what I get done when I'm not on the net...I do try to stay away from the net during the day now otherwise I wouldn't get anything done...the only times I'm on during the day is when I eat my meals or have a 5 min break.

My problem is that I need to get online for work, but get sidetracked easily by MyLot and other sites that I get notifiers for in my email inbox.

it will be a whole lot different, the bills will probably be cut down and i'd be so happy with it but in contrary i'd not be able to communicate with friends easily and that my paper works will not be done as easy it can be with an internet. but basically with some personal interest, it wont matter if there's no internet. i have lived without it before, and probably i can live without it now..
happy mylotting =)

I could probably live without the internet too but that would mean actually having to leave the house to pay bills :(

I remember when I didn’t have any computers in the house and I wonder what the heck I did! I earn a little money that makes a difference to our finances and it is thanks to the Internet that I can do that. I think that if I was to have to go without the Net I would feel a huge void and it would be upsetting for me! The Internet is a remarkable invention and it changed many lives, it’s one of those things that when you’ve had it you cannot go back to living without it!

As far as I am concerned, I think it will be so terrible for me to have no computer in my daily life now. I can bear the life without computer. In my daily life, the computer can help me a lot in having fun and makng friends. A lot have been done with the computer!

Hi, I just can not imagine what my lift will be without an internet. When I was young , there were no internet in China, we got news from paper and TV etc, we make business via TEL and FAX(belive me , they are very expensive), and we only could share opinions with friends nearby. Now, things come totally different.Internet open a new world for us , let us meet friends far away , we can chat on it , do business on it , and argue with others on it .I love Internet, it's really a great invention

I don't think that will make much difference as I use internet for few hours a day and that to just for surfing or sometimes to get in touch with friends on Facebook or Orkut.... recently my computer broke down and I was without internet for a month before I could buy a new computer... I use to spend that time on books or watching TV some time playing games....
I am not addicted to internet... The only thing that it will effect is the way I pay my monthly bills...

Well, without the internet we would have been more productive in the real world. We would have more focus on our work or studies. The internet is the greatest time thief. It makes people forget about the time and waste it sometimes by spending hours playing games online, gaining nothing.

I competely agree - I always lose track of time when I'm earning online & doing other things.

Without internet, life would be a complete contrast to what it is now. We go to the internet for every little thing. Information, searching a long lost friend, keeping in touch, sharing our creative skills...Internet is our virtual reality...
