Recently i want to burn some files to dvd, but while i'm inserting a dvd, i have found in windows explorer it says "make sure that the disc uses a format that windows recognizes. If the disc is unformatted, you need to format it before using it". Even while i'm click right on the directory there is no "format" button, just an "eject". Any idea to solve this problem?? Anyway I'm using windows 7 home premium. Thanks for your explanation.

When you say drive F:/ does this mean you have an external cd/dvd burner. Sorry Im not expert but I can see why you would have to format a blank cd/dvd. Try using different software to burn the data you want, I personnaly use NERO and it works well for me, but each to there own. Have luck.

Try another blank dvd...i guess you dvd is already being burnt....better try out with dvd-rw....that would help you to identify whether it is a device problem or the problem with the dvd itself...
