Another Day With The Fool

Previously I started a discussion about my aunt's ignorant boyfriend who gets on my last nerve. He's Mr. Know-It-All when he knows absolutely nothing. Whatever you say, he chimes in like he's an expert. On top of it, he is a selfish buffoon. A group of us took some kids to an amusement park, unfortunately he tagged along. He began complaining that he needed a wheelchair because his foot hurt. (In my opinion, if your foot really hurts and you don't care for amusement parks, why would you want to go in the first place especially if none of the kids are yours.) We got him a wheelchair and as soon as he got in he said he was going to race up through the crowded street. So he takes off swerving in and out of people. Then he gets the brilliant idea of trying to wheel himself backwards while popping a wheelie. And of course he falls backwards onto his back on the hard pavement. Everyone rushed to him, including strangers, to see if he was okay. As soon as we got him up, he started fussing about the wheelchair. It became apparent that he was trying to get a lawsuit out of the deal, but we nipped that in the butt before it went out of hand. Something tells me he fell on purpose just for that. (It wouldn't have been the first time) By now I was upset and the kids wanted to ride some rides. After an hour of the park trying to rectify the wheelchair incident, I decided to take the kids on some rides by myself. I refused to allow him to ruin their fun.

good for you, its so unfortunate that people can try and ruin others day to satisfy they're own needs, especially childrens. I think you handled to situation as best you can! That boyfriend of your aunts sounds to me like a real loser, and a bit of a attention seeker. I would'nt bother telling him when you guys are going out again lol

Thank you. I agree, he is a loser and an attention seeker. If I can in the future, I'm gonna make sure he doesn't know about anymore outings, especially if kids are involved. Thanks for responding and happy mylotting.

Next time around I wouldn't invite the aunt with the group so this character would not be able to ruin things. It sounds like he has a mental disorder. He is definitely narcissistic, it seems as though he was trying for all the attention even at the kids expense. A tad jealous perhaps that someone else was getting some quality time and not he?

I've never thought about that. He might have a mental disorder. In that case he needs a doctor and lots of medication. Thanks for responding.

The aunt needs to get rid of him. Seriously. Because if he happens to pull something and gets caught , she will be pulled into the middle of it just because she's with him. Good thing the kids still got to enjoy themselves.

That's a good point. If he does get caught, my aunt could be called an accessory to his shenanigans. I hope she'll realize soon that she could do better. Thank you for responding. Happy mylotting.

He sounds very much like someone I know... they always try and get social benefits from the government as well though, because they like to "Claim" that they are too disabled to work... really gets on my nerves, since there is nothing wrong with them at all... From your situation though, I can understand how frustrating it must be to have kids around you that wanted to go on the rides, and have a good time, just to be standing around because some A R S E is making a fool out of themselves to try and make a claim. Some people are really selfish, and what's worse in the 9 times out of 10 they get away with it.

Exactly! It is horrible that people who do these kind of things are hardly ever stopped or caught. Frustrating, but I guess I should be thankful that I was able to get the kids on a few rides before the park closed. Thank you for responding.
