How often do you think of God?

Do you think of God every time? or do you think of him only when you are in trouble? I admit,I am not a very religious type and sometimes I missed going to church on Sundays. If asked this question, I must say I only think of God when I am in trouble, in pain, and alone. How about you? how often do you think of God?

So sad to hear that but why? I mean are you a pagan for not having a relationship with God in your life? Or is there something that makes you say never. I would appreciate if you would share it but if you chose not to then it's ok as well.

I do not believe in such things. I do not believe in mythological fantasies. Some people say it makes their life easier somehow. Fine. But if you do not believe there is anything like that out there, then why would you pretend to pay attention to it?

I think about God about 75% of the week. I'm an atheist. The reason I study what I call "a cognitive dissonance" is that I've seen it as being the source of war and many other things. However, in reading SuperSense: Why We Believe in the Unbelievable, by Bruce MacFarlane Hood, which proposed that Religion is not the cause of many of the sufferings, and many insufferably hypocritical Christians, but that it's something inbuilt in us. South Park did as episode on this, with the future holding only atheists. And the atheists warred on each other in the way that would be typically ascribed to religious wars. I myself have come to think that it's about a 50-50. 50% of religious wars, indoctrination, and general silliness of outward influence, and 50% of it is internally guided. The amount to which one is superstitious or religious varies, but it can, possibly, be genetically determined. Thus, if you believe in God, it might be because of your genetics, making you predisposed to that sort of thing. The first thing I think of in reaction to this type of statement is that of the logic leap of: "Well if it's in us, doesn't that indicate that there's a God?" And likewise with things like "The God Gene" and other sorts. Put shortly, I don't much care to attempt reasoning on either side, as it seems a rather fruitless direction. The skeptics will continually deny it, and the believers continually assert it, and we can simply file this question away as being another string of debate that never ends. What particularly intrigues me if the relation of religiosity to that of genius. That is, it seems that the more religious types are more likely to make breakthroughs. The connection to this is that of dopamine. There was a study done where participants looked at a static TV screen that had a face interposed on it. The believers were able to see the face, and the skeptics weren't. Upon adding doses of dopamine to each, the skeptics were able to see the face, and the believers were more conservative in their estimates. This suggests that there is a careful balance, or, perhaps, a price for brilliance. Though, of course, that's from the skeptic point of view. A believer would see it as blessing plus blessing.

Herro denlangga What a variety of responses from "never" to "everyday" to "constantly". I have had two miracles in my life, both medical. Even before the first one I think of God constantly. If I loose something, like, keys, I ask God to show me where I left them. Guess what? He shows me. Maybe not in my timing, however, I do find them. I have been touched by the Holy Spirit by my miracles. I talk to God constantly, in prayer, reading the Bible, studying, worshiping and thanks for taking care of me. God Bless you Prosperous mylotting

I always think of God everyday. I always say thank you in the morning, it's not a prayer but just merely saying thank you and go on with what I'm doing. I pray as well though not the sort of long type of praying. Sometimes, I miss attending mass too and I feel guilty about it. :)

lol.. okay expressions do help to remind us, very clever of you. I will find ways to remind me of God often, like thanking Him if I have a blessing and offer Him my decisions in life. Sometimes when we are happy and successful, we tend to forget to say thank you for the blessing.

I'm not the type who goes constantly to church, but I think in God often. I'm not the type who believes that we should go to church every Sunday or anything like that, I believe that what really matters is the faith we have in ours hearts.

Herro deverson99 Going to church is not a requirement for salvation. It is God's concept that we go to church as a reminder of who He is and for fellowship with other Christians. I attend a local church, not due to my salvation, but to worship Him and fellowship. Our church also has what we call small groups where we get to know other members on a closer level. We also have study groups to enhance our knowledge and how to live a more effective life for Him. Prosperous mylotting
