When will the rest of the world learn that soccer isn't football.

I don't care that soccer was called football first. The world can't deny the fact that American football will take over as the world's #1 sport. And if soccer is such a popular sport, whyare the most recognizable people in the world, players of American professional sports.
PS - I'm not bashing soccer...I have played for 25 years. Just stating the facts.

One word. PELE. american football will never crown a king that an entire nation bows down to. Plus there is a genuine distaste towards american football being derived from conversations like this. I prefer american football but you must admit the fact that we only touch the ball with our feet on ocassion is a bit of an underwhelming reason to have named it FOOTball.
