As I was watching the news this afternoon, the newly sworn president Noynoy Aquino mentioned that he wants corruption in the Philippines to be eliminated. He said he is going to start with BOC and BIR.
Glad that he is aware that the system here in the Philippines regarding taxes sucks. He is promising a new start, a new chapter for the Philippines. But the secret does not lie on the president alone. It lies on the country men.
Even if our new president has honest and good intentions, the change should start with us filipinos and not on change of admin only. Even if we have new admin, but we still have our old ways, Noynoy will not succeed in his endeavors.
Let's just embrace change, which I believe is for the betterment of our country and support all plans of our new administration.

Hi aileen2008! I am happy to know that the new president think of it that way. I haven't got a chance to watch the news but it delights me to hear it. I hope that he will really do what he said. People are kinda tired of some promises from the past presidents so I hope this one would be a good one.
Goodluck to all filipinos!

Yes, even I gets tired already from the past administration's corrupt ways. To the point that I wanted to leave Philippines already. I am a very patriotic person. Never in my mind did it cross for me to work abroad. But because of the corruption here in the Philippines, I contemplated on working abroad.

Right in there, for as long as businessmen would continue to bribe these officials in the government it would continue to be a corrupt government agency. I think this should now be stopped and we should start making things right. This are all to be seen as many president passed and was only able to uplift the country in the first few months then when their terms ended it always return back to where it started. In Noy's term I hope he would be able to sustain this momentum at all times.

I am also hopeful in this new administration. Cleaning these corrupt departments/agencies is a great start for our new government. These corrupt people should know that there is always an end to all things. Hoping for the best out of this new government.
