Has a movie motivated you to change the course of your life?

My wife was telling me that she has a friend who was despondent on encountering failure.At that stage my wife's friend was taken to a movie by her mother.After the movie she was motivated to change her ways and took up an activity which has changed her life and brought her great success.Has something like this happened to you.Please share your views.

I love the movies and there are alot out there and I think the old black and white ones do hae lessons in life with good points to learn,
ALso watching true life stories in the movies can motivate some people to turn thier life around good for her!

I too love and enjoy movies. In fact during my college days free time was spent in the theater.I adore old movies and these days i get a channel called Turner classic movies which i long to watch.Yes i accept your view that true life events inspirational in nature can motivate people to do better.

yes in some point of view we are attached to movie especially real life stories that can we relate of i usually interested in such movies which we can get something good and we learn from watching television.our success in our career lies still in our hands we made our destiny.

Real life stories are inspirational.As you say we can relate to such stories as they are believable.We can definitely draw inspiration from those characters that uphold tenacity and grit.I endorse your view when you state that our future lies in our hands.If we work hard we reap the rewards of hard work.

Yup, some movies motivated me or changed my way of life or thinking. Like the movie Yes Man, though i didnt really follow the whole YES thingy, it made me realize that we should be more open and take opportunities while they are there

Its great to know that the movie has had a profound effect on you.I was inspired by several movies but they never had a long term impact on me.Being open and utilising opportunities when available is ideal to improve in life.I feel movies are great at introducing us to new ideas which have a bearing on our lives.

Its difficult to bring about a permanent change but trying to do is great beginning.As you persevere you shall surely change for the better.I also have been inspired by movies but after a while the effect tapers of.Movies with true life themes do inspire us to adopt those noble traits.

when I saw the movie of Brendan Fraiser and Winona Ryder.. "with honors" I have drastically changed my perspective in life.. I realized that the true honors in life comes with the way we carry our lives and how we deal with the people that we meet everyday...

Well not so much change my life, but some films motivate me to get up and start making things happen for myself and to wait for no man. Films like Hustle and Flow, Scarface, Paid In Full, etc etc.
