There are only two choices to know the reason for your existence. First choice is by speculation. This is done by many. They just try to believe on their guess. If a person would say that "I have been long believing that life is.." that person is only guessing. What that person really mean is that " I am only guessing and this is the most appropriate reason about my creation that i can think of".
In almost a thousand of years many philosophers have tried to guess and talk about their opinions about the meaning of life. Philosophy is one important area of study that have its own purpose but in the aspect of finding the real purpose of life even the most genius among the philosophers are only guessing.
The good news is that aside from speculations there is also an alternative way to find out the meaning and purpose of life. the easiest way to know the purpose of an invention is to ask the inventor directly about it. That is similar in finding the meaning and purpose of your life. You can go directly to God and ask Him about the things that He had already presented about the reason for life.
God never left us in the dark just to awe and guess. By the help of the Bible, He had clearly announced his five purpose for our lives. The Bible is our owner's manual and it explains the reason for our existence. It also explains why life on earth is like what it is now, what are the things that we should avoid and hope for. This also explains what the self help books can't explain about the purpose of life. According to the Bible " we are speaking through the wisdom of God , which is so mysterious and was hidden for the glory of mankind".
God is not only your starting point in your quest on how to live properly. The truth is your life really came from Him. That is why in order to know your purpose in life, you have to get guidance from the word of God and not from the wisdom of the earth. You have to build your life upon eternal truths not in popular studies about sociologies, techniques on how to reach your goals or inspiring stories. According to the Bible " We all receive from Him an inheritance that was meant to be ours ever since base on His purpose and will".
