This is a clip from Bill Hicks and you will see the part I am talking about. Could this be the truth? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vX1CvW38cHA It talks of how we are all one and that in there is no real ending to life. I noticed a lot of Chrsitian topics on here so I decided its time to go into the spiritual which is what religion is suppose to be based on.

Seen it already. The first thing I thought when I seen him talking was about all the prophets of old that were killed by speaking out against the way things were at their time, it reminded me of when he said "shut him up". I think its true we are all connected and our actions not only effect ourselves but others to and causes a ripple effect across humanity and reality.

Youtube was being slow so I didn't watch the vid. But on the point of everyone being connected, I think that is true. I believe everyone and everyTHING is connected too. It is something that can be hard to believe in because it means that everything from roaches to trees to humans are connected. Dirt, rocks, etc. I mean many things in this world have similar chemicals or elements that make them. Humans are mostly water, so right there we have a connection and similarity to all water everywhere, and we treat it like crap by wasting it and poisoning it which is poisoning ourselves and the animals in it which we eat and who are also made from elements and chemicals that we have too. Again, its hard to believe in this when you kill a roach that is invading your kitchen knowing he is only trying to survive and find food and water and even though I dislike them I still feel bad having to spray them and swat them. I know this probably sounds stupid to most people but I usually feel pretty bad if I go after them viciously and say something like "sorry brother/sister" or "sorry cousin". Anyway I do think everyone and everything is connected in some way. I mean, we even consider plants as living beings though we they are inanimate because we don't understand their language (if they have one) and they do not move on their own (most of them anyway).

So true! I found out we're all connected, all things, EVERYTHING. So far, I don't really know how or if that fits in with christian beliefs but it doesn't matter, it's what's true. It's hard to tell what to do about knowing it though. Christianity (..in him we live and breathe and have our being...); Buddhism I think, maybe Hinduism as well, science (all made of the same elements). It 'requires' respect, care, and love for all things but I can't explain why.

I believe God created us. We are all brothers and sisters and should treat each other with respect, dignity, and decency. Do good, do no evil. God will eventually hold us accountable for the way we live. I love and respect all, even those that disagree with me. I know that in the end it will work out for the best. We could do much better, even now. But not all of us care or are cooperative. If we can't change the world, we can at least change ourselves.

I think that it is a belief that we are all connected and thus we are a power within the universe! I also think that it is a message that supports love among people. Because we are all just ourselves connected through a string of consciousness.
