Wanted: Wedding Singer

I've been searching on the internet for weeks for a job where I could earn and enjoy at the same time... until I found this: WANTED: Wedding Singer. Unfortunately, the page/ad was made by a wedding singer who happened to look for singing engagements. *sigh* I am not a pro but I find myself a better "bathroom singer" whenever I sing at videoke bars with my friends. I'm a graduating student from an engineering school here in the Philippines, I'm going nowhere though. I remember back in highschool, my friends and I agreed that our path should meet again in one industry, entertainment. I wasn't that confident back then. *sigh* Now, my mom's calling me a late-bloomer. LOL. If I only knew that I could sing (as some of my friends tell me), I should have practiced long before. Singing isn't my forte, but it's the only thing I know and want to do right now to earn money, aside from myLot of course. so... what can you say about this? can you give me some tips or anything? thank you for reading, btw. :)
