My phone is not giving the message alert. What should I do.
I have a nokia n70 phone. Which Is not giving me any alert for a new message and even no display of miss calls. It also happened to my old phone n72. Is this a kind of software bug. It happens to me many times and on its own the problem gets corrected. What should I do.

first to try by default factory settings and if it doesn't work then you will have to update or say reinstall you mobile software.go to nokia's website and find "update your phone software".go through it. then choose your phone model and download the software.then follow the instructions of the software..but remember you sms and phone menory content might get deleted.good luck!!

well i know that nokia has a hard format but i dont know the code in nokia n70. well i have mine that bugged because of defective applications.
i think you need to look for the hard format code of n70 if you want to remove the problem completely but it will erase everything and will be back to its out of the factory state.

Have you tried reading the manual? lol. Anyway, most probably your problem lies within the profile options. You can change the settings there for all the alerts. You can even schedule it if you want it to be silent during work hours and then automatically turn loud after work hours or at any time you want to . Maybe it is set on timed, that's why it changes back to normal.
