If you have been brought up to caring,as soon as a situation presents itself, you are prompted to action. A memorable moment - "Someone with a hundred-rupee note on a busy street corner looking desperately for change to pay for an autorikshaw and getting refused by people around. As soon as I saw - I know I had the required change as well as the willingness to relieve another person from difficulty and anxiety.I also know that I might one day be in the same situation - and immediately helped him "Do unto others what you would like them to do to you" - it is no surprise that this is termed the Golden Rule, anb becuse it is an eternal value. Have you come across any such opportunity..??? Please share your thoughts and also comments...

I have always put others needs before mine, always been a good friend, and helped out wherever I can and with whatever has been asked of me....HOWEVER in the last few years I have seen the error of my ways, at a time when I desperately needed help and support from those whom I had helped, from one of them I was told, she had enough on her plate!!! I had lost both my parents, was suffering from depression and agoraphobia as well as serious health probs, ALL I had needed was a phone call maybe once a month, but NOT one of those selfish people even did that much. As a result, with the exception of my family I have resolved not to waste any more of whatever time I may have left helping out other people, on the whole most people are only out for themselves, and while I would never turn a blind eye to anyone in Real trouble, I wont be going out of my way either. Sorry if this sounds bitter, and perhaps I am, but with just cause I feel.

Nice expression - there is lot of transparency in your thoughts,I do agree that people are these days selfish. If their need is over then they forget everything And me too faced many such consequences. So when ever any situation arises - I do not jump immediately think for a while and do as per my generated thoughts. Your experience is your best teacher.

Yes, I would have done the same thing you did. We should always put ourselves in the shoes of others to be able to act out of sympathy. A lot of people just don't care and can't bring themselves to be in other people's situation. I am quite sensitive when it comes to things like this. I try to be of help when I can.
