What type of animal would you like to have,either as a pet or for some other reason? Choose an animal and explain why you would like to own this type of animal?
I would like to have a dog as a pet. Because I am busy at work and I do not have much time to be together with my parents, sometimes they may feel lonely. So I bought a dog to be their companion. Dogs are tamed animals and loyal to their masters. They are always happy to see their masters and they convey happiness and enthusiasm to people. That`s why I`d like to have dogs as pets.

Many years ago my daughter and I were living in Idaho and I drove past an emu farm many times. One day we stopped by to see if we could "meet" these emus. The owner came out to greet us and told us they were friendly (unlike ostriches) and yes, we could pet them. I fell in love. I dreamed of owning a "stress reduction retreat" and having these sweet birds on the premises, mainly for the sound they make...similar to the ostrich's sound...that is a very deep sound like a bongo drum. It's very soothing and almost sounds like a heartbeat. I guess that's why it's so soothing. They were very sweet and affectionate, too. So I dream of someday having emus and hearing their lovely thumping outside my window.
