Do you cut grass or sweep the dirt?

I cut the front and back yards with a manual push mower. It was an essential part of going green (Eco) for us, and it eliminated the need for buying high priced gasoline, for a mower that always decided to start and then stop in the middle of cutting ha ha ha. But do most mylotters have grass to cut or just clean off a patio or concrete? And for those Farmers I have not left you out, what are your daily strenuous jobs? Share :-)

Hello randy2611
I also use a manual push mower, and it looks much like the one that you have pictured in this discussion, except it's a bit more modern. It is a Fiskars model and has self-sharpening blades. I love that it requires no gasoline or oil and more friendly for the environment. Plus, as a reel mower, it is better for the health of the grass. It is also lighter in weight than a gasoline or electric mower, which makes it easier to maneauver.
It is nice being able to cut the grass in such silence. People walking on the sidewalks often comment to me that they haven't seen this type mower, or haven't seen one in a long time. It is nice being able to actually hear these people talk. If I had a power mower, I wouldn't be able to hear them, or to enjoy the sounds of the birds and the sounds of the nature around me.
It is also nice not having to buy the gasoline or the oil.
You also mention the farmers. I used to be a farmer and had a lot of grass to cut and property to maintain. Although it was noisy, I admit to enjoying all the time I spent on a tractor. It was fun.
