I think that we as a society have not yet become too dependant on computers. In my State most people do recreational activities instead of computers. Our main industry is tourism so dependence on computers is not that high.

As someone who uses computers a lot of the time, I would have to agree that society is very dependent on computers. However, too dependent might not be the best way to describe it. However, there is a very extreme degree of being dependent. To the point where computers going down might drastically effect the way our lives run and how smoothly that they run. I think that our dependence on computers is pretty much a product of our time. If computers were not around, we might be dependent on something for the most part. In fact, ever since man could invent, he was dependent on something. Therefore, computers are just the latest thing. Who knows, in fifty to a hundred years in the future, there might be something other than computers that rules our society. Kind of hard to think about it but about fifty or a hundred years ago, it was hard to see what the world would be like now.

Always and every day I open my computer to do anything from games to watching movies. Others may do something not having to deal with computers but for the greater part computers are priceless in keeping a person entertained or updated.

I believe you are right.. human society has grown to be dependent on technology.. even tourism industry and sectors sell in the internet..hotel bookings on-line as well airline bookings too...everything and anything on-line..
