scientists believe that the human mind is almost incapable of thinking of absolutely nothing. The ability to think of nothing for extended periods of time is a skill not widely had. Some people believe that dreams can predict future, they have always meaning but the problem is that we are unable to interpret our dreams.Do you agree that dreams contain clues to our future?do you think animals also have dreams? for me,dreams are just silent blurry visions that your subconscious creates.!! what do you think?

For me dreams can be sometimes a premonition or predicts a future happening. Because it happened to me already several times. Dreams can also be a result of our unconscious or subconscious mind. The things that we sometimes try to avoid literally or avoid to think, will just pop out into our dreams.

with the premonitions what happens when you get them. you don't have to answer if you don't want the whole world to know, but read my response to her question and see if the same things have happened to you. I'm just curious. if you want to pm you can instead of responding here. i know some are not as open as I am about this. I am just seeking answers as well as i know many others are too.

I think the pupose of dreaming is so that our body can rest our minds and put it somewhere other than the world in which we are in. dreaming has several stages. It has a deep sleep where most dreams occur. I've been in a stage where i don't know if it's dreaming or if i'm awake because every thing is so real to me. I'm a medium in some senses like psychic but not really. I just have dreams of people and have knowledge of things happening. Most of the time it's in the past and not future. If I wanna know about the future I just ask but some times it's more than I can handle and it's usually a big mess of just figures and people who have been in my past. The reason I say this is because many people believe in visions and dreams that have meaning other than what they actually are. I know most people think that we just dream and that's it. But for some of us even a good dream can seem as a nightmare. I've dreamed dreams where it's the same dream every other year I would dream a dream about my brother and a fox, and it would be a couple years later that I would dream it again the same dream and it would take me further. But it never has took me to the end. I would have visions of what would have happened or what could have possibly happened in the house we lived in prior. I have a hard time some times decerning dream from reality. Mostly if Ive been dreaming and I wake up from the dream. It doesn't happen during the day or anything like that. also just recently I was seeing someone that he came out and told me he killed someone that had robbed his house and the police don't know about it and he took this person and buried him on his friends farm out in a town outside of where i live. i felt uneasy. I couldn't sleep no more than an hour at a time when he was beside me and i didn't get a good nights rest for four days. the fourth day I dreamt i was in a barn and it felt like something was showing me something then I woke up and I seen a face of a man out in the hallway. But I'm not sure if i was awake my dream was making me think I was awake. Anyways, I slept all night with out getting up that night and even though I was calmed down about the situation. I felt he was telling me the truth. I had to tell him to leave me alone. Whether his story is actually true I guess i'll never actually know but usually when my dreams are this specific it means they are telling the truth. I've been able to sleep since. this was about a week ago. Until he just showed up at my house to get a movie he had left. He called before but i didn't answer and he didn't leave a message then he just showed up. i'm not sure how crazy our dreams are. I just wish sometimes I didn't have dreams that were that real. my daughter when we moved the first time from the house I grew up in was able to sleep each night in her bed for the first week we lived in an apartment before we got this house. She is almost 5 now and she tells me that she sees things in houses if she is with my dad and stuff. She also did not sleep in her crib for most of her baby hood and I think it was because of that house. she won't go in her bedroom by her self and so we started using it as storage and pulled her toys out to the living room. It's strange but I understand her more than she realizes. sorry this is so long. but I just thought you'd like some insight to this. it would be interesting to see what others say about it.

Sometimes I think that dreams contain clues about the things that are happening around us. I always have these strange dreams especially when a family member is sick. After having a dream like that, I check on them and its true something is not right. I believe dreams tell us something.

I think deam is another form of display of our daytime experience and our instinctive sense including prediction of forthcoming events. I have many times of experience of dream foreseeing.Just like earthquake, flood, stock market fluctuation.Dreams are usually explainable.

Dreams are random visions that sub-conscious mind generates from the accumulated memories. A normal person use to experience three distinct states through out his/her life-awakened,sleep,and dream. A conscious mind experiences the outer world as it is perceived through the senses while sleeping state disrupts the process of thinking and consciously perceiving the outer things. Since dreams are the products of sub-conscious mind,it is beyond the capacity of conscious mind in making any rational interpretation and drawing meaningful conclusions. It is unpredictable,non-directional and unreal. The behavior and functioning of mind in each of these three states are unique and mutually exclusive. Thanks.

I am not sure we will ever know the true purpose of dreaming. i all have our opinions on this. I believe that dreaming is the way for our subconscious to get messages to us. it's just my thought!

Dream experts believe that dream serves as a warning to our lives. Before I try to explain the meaning of my dreams but I end up forgetting it. They said you have to remember all the details like colors, plot, everything that you saw in your dreams in order to interpret it well.

The purpose of dreams is to try and make sense of things that have happened to us or might happen to us. Granted, sometimes dreams do not make sense a lot of the time. However, sometimes they do. To the extent where I almost wonder if I am tapping into some alternate version universe version of myself and seeing my life in that sense. Or maybe it is some repressed memory that my conscious mind has long since forgotten, but my subconscious mind has not. I think our dreams are basically our mind trying to make sense of certain things. However, our minds tend to think several thoughts at a time. At least I know I do. Therefore, its hard to really comprehend everything and its in a rather blurry mess. Some of them are simple, some of them are complex, some of them are just out there. However, it is all the work of our subconscious mind trying to piece together our thoughts, whether we know we are having them or not.

Dreams are future events. My friend had a dream about her grandfather chasing after her with no legs. A couple years later her grandfather had to get her legs cut off from surgery.Sometimes dreams are appear in deeper future events.

For me dreams have different meanings in a particular person who is dreaming. Some of my friends have dreams that they testify that really did happened in real life. While some of them just dream and make it also happen but in a far different way. Some of it are premonitions. Some says if you dream a person you know then he/she is thinking of you. While other dreams are like a bit glimpse of the future, just like what happen to dejavu. But some dreams are just dreams, no meaning at all, just a product of our tiredness.

The purpose of dreaming is to become something in life. Life is all about dreaming, putting it into action, and taking risks. So, go out there and dream up something right now.

I think dreams are reflections of what we our subconscious contain. Sometimes dreams also show what is worrying us deep inside. When I took the biggest exam in my life, I kept saying that it's okay whether I pass it or not, what is important is that I worked hard and gave it my best shot, blah blah blah But there were nights when I had dreams that I did not pass, other nights I passed...They felt so real that for a moment, when I wake up, it would take a while for me to realize that I was just dreaming. Have a nice day!

Dreams are meant to empty our mind from unfulfilled desires or fears. Our mind cannot have a large space to store them. So, it just deletes something whenever it is overdose. I don't think that we can interpret our dreams and learn some hints about our future. May be that is suited for day dreamers.

Hi crazy_poster, I don't believe in dreams, that are clues to our future. As far as my knowledge and my experience is concerned about dreams, there is no connection between the dreams and the future. I can say dreams are the one which repeats our thinking and the suspicion. I am having a doubt that our mind will not sleep while our body sleeps / relax, mind will be roaming, i feel that is the DREAM. I don't know about the animals, do they really dream?

I think this phenominon is a mix of both. So far we have certain conclusions only about such things. Researches are on and on and so many conclusions depending on various scientists. All are some way or other just opinion and we cannot predict any precise conclusion on dream. It affects different people differntly and a uniform opinion is never true. I know in my sleep of average 7-8 hours a day, hundreds of dreams are in my mind. Especially in the morning I wake up with a story like dream would follow me. For the last 15 days, I have discussed also about dream because many are still I am remembering of which few are just happend nearly 80% true and few are unbelievable because it was a continuation of the previous days real happenings. So as you said, dream can be a silent blurry vision of subconscious and it just extends our minds sub ways and thoughts. Regards, Thank-s
