I do believe in reincarnation and I think its the only way that World can be fair. There are people being born with desabilities and how could that be fair if they are going just to be born once, live like this and die having a sad life?
But thats only my opinion, how about you. Do you believe in reincarnation? Found proofs? And specially if you dont believe, what do you think that happens?
Good week everybody!

No offense, but my religion is science. I do not believe in reincarnation.
I believe that everything is just a part of Mother Nature. We're just creatures born to eat and die.
And even if there is one, wouldn't that make our lives meaningless? It would mean that we have endless lives and time wouldn't be precious anymore.
I'm ready to be flamed.

Hi katie0, I have believed in reincarnation since I was a young child, no doubt before I'd ever heard the word. Today at age seventy I am more convinced than ever. I was raised a Christian and most Christians don't believe in reincarnation, although more and more are beginning to think that way despite what there particular church teaches. It was a belief of many early Christians but in the sixth century the church decided it didn't serve their purpose and threw it out. Of course reincarnation is true. Blessings.

You should read the book "Old Souls" by Tom Shroddes. It details the work of Ian Stephenson a psychiatrist who investigated claims by children in the middle east of past lives over some 20-30 year time frame. very interesting.

I don't think that we can attribute reincarnation as the only way the the World could be fair, as for the existence of any creature its in constant danger. If you think about the possibility of someone being reborn as an insect, let's say a spider consider the fact that it could be squashed at any moment by you or someone else who doesn't like spiders. If you consider that someone could be reborn as an animal then remember, there is the old jungle rule "survival of the fittest."
It is unfortunate that many people are born with disabilities now days but many have to do with genetics, and the mother's own care before and during pregnancy.
As far as the world not being fair, well it does not have to do with reincarnation but of who we are and what we do for others. The only time there would be fairness in this world is when we start to act kindly one person to another.
I personally do not believe in reincarnation but I sure hope if there is an afterlife, it is much better than what we see today.

Hi Katie
Who told you that life is fair ? Is it fair for the animals that we kill in order to eat ? Is it fair for the animals that the lions kill in order to eat ?
Is it fair for the species that are now extinct ? Is life fair for all those that are killed in disasters like tsunamis, earthquakes, volcano eruptions, wars, diseases, hunger.
Are only humans reincarnated ? I understood that those who believe in reincarnation think that animals are also reincarnated.
How can humans think at all of what happens when you die. We are formed from the fertilized egg, grow from the food that our mother eats and then our bodies disintegrate back into the soil (if we are not cremated).
Wake up. Realize that this is what we have and the idea IMO is to make the best of it.
We need more love (period)

I just think all the existence is just one integrated body of life. The outside world is another part of myself. When my flesh body decays, the main body of my life still exist, and it will generate another life for me.
So,I think reincarnation is just the repeated history of the universe. My life is extended with the whole history. If I commit bad things in the world,it just means I am harming my own body, and I will suffer the result later.Because everything is integrated one.

I have my doubt if that's the only way the world can be fair. For example, one position that locates the source of the problem like disability is attribute it to previous birth, and so the person is actually responsible for the present disability.
Personally, I don't believe in reincarnation. I think to have the potential to be born even as beetle, leeches, snake etc does not seem to have sufficient evidences.

i very much agree with the OP in this discussion. I believe that we all live many times, and we simply don't remember our others, but in a respect we cling on to tiny bits of inforamtion. That 'Deja Vu' is remebering a tiny bit from your past life.
I also believe that you can tell what life people are on, more laid back people could be on there 5th or 6th and reckeless out of control people on there 1st. I know its highly unlikely to be true, but i like the idea, and if i think thats what happens, who is anyone to tell me that what i itnhk is wrong, considering they dont really know themselves.

I think there's such thing as reincarnation. I think in my past life I was either a pure Chinese or a dog hahaha. I just love Chinese food and other things related to oriental stuffs and I also love to smell/sniff things. It's weird but I cant help it haha.
