It depends on which version to which you're refering. Its safe to assume you are talking about Jame's Cameron's 1997 film. Out of all of the versions of the movie I have seen I will be the first to admit that that particular movie wasn't my all time favorite.
The movie centers around the love story between a poor street-rat type, and a wealthy first-class socialite. The socilite wants out of her stuffy first-class lifestyle and rebells against the restraints the first class have on her. Falling for the third-class man.
As the ship sinks, the two fight to survive the harsh cold North Atlantic. Though I'm not going to tell you all of it, but that's it in a nutshell.

The film Titanic made in 1997 is one of the top grossing films of all time.It is a mix of romance and action and is very suspenceful and sad at times. It is a really good film to see with a love partner. The men will like the sinking part which is the second half of the film while the women will like the romance part where jack falls in love with rose dosen.I watched the film around a dozen times and i can say without a dought that it is one of the best films I have ever seem and would watch it again if i get a chance. cheers!

I saw this movie quite a few years back. It is a 3 hour movie but I never felt sleeping when I was watching it. There's just too much going on and you can really get a picture of what happened in the old days, the love story between the characters is not cheesy. This is really a classic. Enjoy watching.

titanic is a love story. a boy and his friend win a ticket to a cruise in titanic. then him and his friend find a way to go to the upper part of the boat bcs the boat has divisions between poor and rich. when he is in the upper part of the boat he meets a rich girl when she is trying to jump of the boat bcs she doesnt like her life. her mum wants her to marry a guy just bcs he is rich also and she doesnt like that. she likes simple things not do things in polite ways. so that boy see what she will do and stops her to jump. he says if she jumps he will jump too after her. then her fiancee sees what he did and invites him to have dinner with them next day and he goes and then him and the girl start to become friends and fall in love^^ you must watch it is one of the best movies ever^^

The titanic was claimed to be an "unsinkable ship" back in 1912 and in the movie. Unfornately, this is not the case. The Titanic is sunken on a cold night in "possible July" when the ship makes contact with a large iceberg, thus killing hundreds and hundreds of people.
The movie is displayed with provocative imagery that shows how magnificent the ship truly was. The movie begins with a wealthy girl, "played by Kate Winslett" and a poor boy "played by Leonardo DiCaprio" who fall in love with one another. As they venture on the ship they make a strong connection to one another, interfering with "Rose: The wealthy girl"'s life and their is a big action. There is lots of romance and action portrayed in the movie. A definite must watch. It was once the "Greatest movie of all time," at its release in 1999. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
