Initially I was very shy of dancing in public. Then during my college days, as per tradition in that region of India, I started dancing on the roads during the marriage procession of some of my friends. Since then I have hooked onto dancing and really do not care if I am dancing on the dance floor or public. What is your take on dancing in public? Cheers! Ram

Dancing is like an escape route from all the problems that are going on in your general life and it helps you to convey the feelings you have about them in your own way. People enjoy this because it means that they can take their minds of there problems OR they can think about them whilst dancing and sort of use dancing to clear all the worries out of their heads. Also, if your good at dance then its enjoyable because you're doing something you're good at and if you know you're doing well in it, it helps you to enjoy it more. If you're dancing to music you're passionate about then that helps you to enjoy it as well so it helps with dance of you're good at music as well because you can feel the rhythms better, which helps you to get into the dance more, which helps you to enjoy it more.So why should one be shy in dancing either in public or anywhere else :)

I have always been shy unless music was involved. As a teen I would get stomach aches if I had to speak in public but I didn't have a problem playing the violin or dancing in public. Now if one of my favorite songs plays I will dance regardless where I am.

I take dance class, an average of 3 days a week so I dance in public. I also like to dance as part of activism. I love to use dance as part of social activism, dance can be a radical act. Not all, pretty and expensive. Another disabled person, I know who also dances, says "dance ugly and drool."

I can't dance. Every time I watch people dancing, I think that's so cool. But I don't have time and I doubt that I have talent. If I have time I would have a try.

I dont mind...i have danced at so many fuctions and public parties....even on the road...I dont feel ashamed or shy. I am not a good dancer, i dont have good steps or knowledge of dance. But it comes from within. I dont care what the world thinks or says.
