Uruguay v Ghana

Ghana, the sole representative for the African continent gave a good match and took the lead on the stroke of half time through Muntari and Forlan equalise for Uruguay with a brilliant free kick. This match is not as boring as in the made out to be. Pretty interesting. The teams are preparing for extra time. I am hoping for another penalty shoot out.

What a match!! What a finale!! The world cup needed this match to come alive. I mean everything that world cup means, passion, putting bodies on line, using the brains everything was on display on this match!! The hero turned out to be Suarez who took a red card for the team, and when Gyan missed the penalty it was worth taking the red card!! In the penalty shoot out, Uruguay beat Ghana!! Fantastic match... slightly sad result for Ghana. Cheers! Ram

It was a tough loss for Ghana and the miss was by Gyan who was instrumental in them getting thus far with this 3 goals!! Cheers! Ram

I know. It was a fantastic match. Tough loss for Ghana though. I really didn't want Uruguay to win though. I hate the hero of the match. It would of been Ghana vs. Netherlands if it weren't for that hand ball!

Hopefully with the 2 quarter finals, the world cup has finally arrived. It sure is getting interesting as we move near to the final.

Holy crap, did you see the end? This is one of the most greatest matches ever. The last shot by Ghana was one of the greatest and should be in the record books. There were about 3 follow up shots and many saves, along with a hand ball. I'm watching the penalty shots at the moment!

Hard luck for Ghana. They missed two penalties in the shootout. With their exit, it means the end of the African journey in this tournament.

Man, I wish you were wrong. I wanted Ghana to get into the finals along with Germany. Of course I wanted Germany to win, but I wanted to see Ghana get a chance into the high stakes. This blows. The only reason of the penalty shootout was because Uruguay made a hand ball at the end!

Well Its really hurting to see ghana go out like this though they played reall well uptill now.But This defeat is not a defeat .they showed the world what they are and marked their presence at the doors of the lords of the football. I see that In Near future the day is not far away when Ghana would be lifting world cup Trophy.

Unfortunately for you my friend, Ghana lost it all...It was the most entertaining match here at the World Cup, a lot of drama and twists in the game involved. In the end Uruguay was the winner and to be honest I was happy for them.
