My best friend had just got a mortgage on an old house about two months ago. On Tuesday it was gutted from fire. She didn't tell me until today. I realise that she had a lot to do and sort out, but I can't help but feel a bit hurt that she waited 3 days to tell me. Am I being really selfish? No one was hurt in the fire, but she has lost everything. Any ideas on anything I can do for her? She is buying all new stuff from the insurance money, I have already offered to lend her stuff and that she can call me at anytime.

Hi, solgunatez. I am very sorry about that. I really am. She probably did not tell you because she was so stressed out and worried. Don't let her not calling you make yourself think anything bad. I am glad that she was not hurt in the fire at all. It is great and sweet of you that you are willing to look out for her. I hope that she will gain everything that she has ever lost.

hi there, dont get rough on your self, your best friend right now need you, she didnt tell you right away maybe its because she was still in shock on what had happened, its a tragic event in her part, maybe she called her family first. In this situation your role as her best friend is applied, a shoulder to cry on and a helping hand to her. let go of the hurt that you've felt that is just a shallow reason for you to act like that. dont get me wrong bout that.
