First drain the syrup from your fruit cocktails, shredded coconuts and bottles of nata de coco. You can dry them by mixing them all together in a stainer and leaving them there for a few minutes to drain any excess syrup. 2nd, place the drained fruit cocktails, shredded coconut and nata de coco in a large mixing bowl and add the condensed milk. Mix well. 3rd, add the Nestle cream, and then the cubed cheddar cheese and mix them until everything is evenly blended. Last, place inside the fridge and chill for 30 minutes to an hour. Then serve.

Here is one interesting fruit salad recipe...In fact this is the receipe that I follow most of the time.. The ingredients are: 1.Milk, canned, evaporated, 1 can (13 oz) 2.Milk, 1%, 1.5 cup 3.Granulated Sugar, 27 tsp 4.Cool Whip whipped topping, creme 4 tbsp 5.Cream substitute, powdered, (custard powder) 1 tsp 6.Saffron, .25 tsp 7.Banana, fresh, 1 large (8" to 8-7/8" long) 8.Apples, fresh, 1 medium (2-3/4" in diameters) (approx 3 per l ) 9.Grapes, .5 cup, seedless 10.Pineapple, fresh, .25 cup, diced You may increase the ingredient list.. Now,the method of preparation: Please heat the evaporated milk, custard powder (diluted in cold milk) and regular milk in a pan for few minutes. Add sugar. Once everything blends in, take the pan off of the heat and now turn heat off and keep the pan aside to cool off the milk mixture. Until it is cooling off cut all the fruits in dice shape (other than grapes). Once the milk mixture is cooled off to room temperature, add saffron and whipped topping to it and blend everything in a blender. Pour the blended mixture in a container (select a container which has a lid and u can keep it in the refrigerator).Add all the fruits in it.....Now mix it and keep in the refrigerator to chill and then serve it chill from the refrigerator. It is a very easy method and you may try this out.

here in the Philippines, we buy cans of fruit cocktails and then we add some nata de coco and sometimes we also add fresh young coconuts. we just blanch the coconuts so that the salad will last longer. and condensed milk for sweetening...

Hi kyle2krystel :D I suggest to use a healthy sweetener is honey. Reduce the amount of condensed milk and use some honey. The proportion would be 4 cream, 2 honey and 2 condensed milk. No need for sugar since the sweetness fruit salad should emphasize is from the fruits and sweet milk. I hope you'd make a great salad, I currently made potato salad and now you've made me interested in making fruit salad next, thanks very much ^__^

When we make fruit salad at home, we just mix the all purpose cream and condensed milk in a 2:1 ratio. Then we simply pour the mixture into the sliced fruits and then store it in the refrigerator to cool.

You have the best ingredients ion making some fruits salad. i wish one of these days I will be able to make fruit salad with berries and strawberries in them. You can also put some cream into it, only a little amount of condensed milk. I think condensed milk is too sweet that sometimes it covers the sweetness coming from the fruits.

When I make fruit salad, I usually use the same ingredients, but I add banana and papaya. Condensed milk gives a very speacial flavor to fruit salad.
