allknowing how many different ways are there to put in a response if they are all correct? I really do not have time myself to go aro und criticizing the various responses as I feel we are all adults here and do the best we can.Sometimes a topic has only one really subjective and correct answer so yes a lot will be similar but not identical. ijust wish more people would worry more about their own responses and less about the rest of us. Mylot admins polices the place, so why do we have to police each other too. why not tend to our own postings instead?![](/Content/images/emotes/lol.gif)

This is a site where we are all encouraged to point out situations that can improve the place. Even reporting violations are encouraged and that is what I thought although there are many who don't specially if the response/topic/comment comes from a 'friend'! and that is when they commit a 'sin of omission'![](/Content/images/emotes/lol.gif)

I can't speak for everyone but I only read the first couple of responses and then reply. Sometimes there's not much to say but to repeat what has already been posted, too. Hey, we're all here to earn some coin so what does it matter if some responses are similar?

Herro allknowing
My first thought is maybe the people responding don't read the previous comments. My second thought would be that some people only comment for the income. The problem with that thought is the mathematical formula that calculates has originality written into the formula.

Hi allknowing,
How are you? Hope you are doing fine.
Usually I don’t respond to those types of topics if the right answer is already given. But I will respond if I can provide some more information about the particular subject. I too seen the responses from many as similar and I think they just want to give the reply and earn some money. We can’t criticize them because the site is for earning money. Personally I don’t feel to give my reply again if the question is answered properly. But it is my personal choice only. ![](/Content/images/emotes/cool.gif)

The rules say that we should read the responses and then respond, probably so that one avoids responding if the solution is already there!

If a topic calls for an objective response then it is NOT a discussion.
There are other sites for questions and answers but that is not what myLot is for. MyLot was created as a discussion site. We are supposed to start a topic and then the responses (not 'answers') are supposed to discuss what is in the topic and a debate/discussion/conversation with opinions, not objective responses, should start.
Every day there are more and more topics which leave nothing to discuss at all. What is there to discuss if a topic asks 'what is the capital of...?' We cannot have an opinion about that surely because it requires a specific answer?
When I see users complaining about their earnings not increasing and then I see their activity, it is usually obvious that they are not using myLot in the way it was intended. Quality discussions create earnings. Topics which require 'objective responses' do not.
Opinions will always differ slightly and when a topic gives the opportunity for us to state our opinion, there will not be identical responses.

What I see is that this has been going on for some time now and a few users like you who have studied the guidelines do know what's in and what's out. One either looks the other way as has happened so far or stop taking part. And as far as reporting is concerned most are friends here and it becomes extremely difficult to take this extreme step!![](/Content/images/emotes/sorry.gif)

As usual, super Diana. Yes. I fully agree with you. So it is final. Objective topics are a no no. But they are there quite a number floating around. Does it mean that those who respond do not know that such topics are violations? Or they know and yet go about responding? Or are they confused? ![](/Content/images/emotes/confused.gif)

I thought most of the responses are subjective rather than objective. Everyone gives their own opinion which might be identical or not identical to others. If someone posts a topic asking for advice on something and they get a lot of similar answers, probably it enforces the opinion.

Not always bluemoon.... Asking for opinions will not give you identical responses but there are topics that generate one correct response and this is repeated.

The rules say that we should first read the responses and then respond: "Do not Respond to a discussion until you've read all of the responses"

So it depends on how the starter phrases the question, if there's only one correct answer, definitely the responses would be similar.
I just answered a post asking about unresolved responses. As soon as I posted my comment, there have already been a few with similar responses ahead of me, these got posted while I'm typing, so how am I going to avoid that?

I think that the identical answers are unavoidable. As the good and bad things are common to all people. When a discussion asks for an opinion about a good thing naturally we all tend to go by the identical answers saying that it is good.We just can't differ for being different.Isn't it?![](/Content/images/emotes/lol.gif)

Someone may ask about one's national sports and there you will find identical answers. My point is if someone has already given the answer why repeat it?

It may be terrible when one sees in this.
It depends on the sense of responsibility.
