At first I thought this was just another internet urban legend, then I thought that such a misguided doctor had to have a Y chromosome, but Maria New is not a male or from what I can tell a really misguided leftover from the 40s. She seems to be an accomplished woman who is an endocrinologists and previous head of the Pediatric Endocrinology Association. Why such an accomplished woman is looking into research to prevent the births of girls who display an"abnormal" disinterest in babies, don't want to play with girls' toys orbecome mothers, and whose "career preferences" are deemed to"masculine" is beyond. This seems to go against everything she worked her whole life for including being a doctor. I find this research offensive. The last time I checked no one died because they violated gender norms, not counting those who were unjustly murdered, of course. Shouldn't such an accomplished doctor be working on something more serious such as cancer, AIDS, diabetes, and so forth? In order to conduct these prenatal trials, they are actually injecting pregnant women with class C steroids. The drug they are injecting them with is one I used to take. I am a fully formed adult person. They wouldn't give me that drug outside of a hospital and I was only on it for three days. I thought fetuses were more likely to be damaged than fully grown people. What happens if these fetuses are born with three heads? Is having a gay child worse than having a deformed child?
