Luis Suarez of Uruguay did the right thing or not in World Cup

Maybe it wasn’t ethically the right thing to do, because handball is cheating. But in terms of winning the quarterfinal against Ghana, Uruguay’s Luis Suarez did exactly the right thing by briefly taking up volleyball to keep Dominic Adiyiah’s header from going in.Because that ball was going in. So assuming Suarez was aware of his actions, he faced a choice between not handballing and so allowing Ghana to score with only second left on the clock, and committing a blatant handball to give Uruguay a chance. Maybe it is another Hand of God. What's your idea about it?

Certainly it wasn't the most ethically thing to do, but let's be honest. How many of you wouldn't do the same in that situation?! It serves your own purposes and now Suarez is hailed as a hero in his country.

It was blatant cheating, but for the team it was really a good thing, he was a hero and again now there is challenge in front of FIFA how to stop such a thing from happening. With so much at stake, the teams that play fair end up loosing and people become heroes for such really crazy stuff. Had FIFA taken a firm hand against Henry and Suarez and given them life bans that would have send a strong signal to future players against such blatant cheating. But again FIFA would not be strong enough to take such a decision, so teams like Ghana will continue to pay!! Cheers! Ram

He did the right thing. I am sure that if any player from any country was given the choice of handling the ball and going through to the world cup semi finals or not handling the ball and going home then they would commit the handball anytime.

I understand that he did it, as a player for a specific national team, you really have no choice. It was really tragic that Ghana missed the penalty though, but you cannot argue with the fact that the player did what he thought was best for his team at that moment.

Hi,I think Suarez did the right thing he can to win the fight. In that moment, it's his instrinct to stop the goal,so he shouldn't be blamed and condemned, he just took the soccer regulation to help his team to win a game. What's more important, he had been punished.A red card and penalty kick. So,it's very different from Maradona and Henry's Hand of God, they all get benifits without being punished.

What the Uruguayan scorer did this perfectly, if it had not done it today they would be out of the world one, very warm for one had given since the party. It was the only thing that it could do and the god's hand returned to appear.
