shakespeare othello was amazing

Othello is my favourite Shakespeare play and I have watched many different productions of it. I don't know the story of 'Omkara', but basically Othello is a Moorish (black) general working in Venice. He makes an enemy of Iago when he appoints Cassio as his chief lieutenant. Othello is married to a beautiful young white girl, Desdemona. Iago comes up with a plan to ruin Cassio and Othello, who thinks of Iago as a loyal, trustworthy friend. He manages to trick Othello into getting rid of Cassio and then makes Othello think that Desdemona is having an affair with Cassio. Eventually with all of Iago's tricks, Othello strangles Desdemona. Emilia, Iago's wife and Desdemona's servant, realises what her husband has been doing and tells Othello - who then kills himself. That is a very condensed story of Othello - apologies to all Shakespeare scholars!!
