Women exposed to abuse, domestic violence and family strife in childhood are more likely to become pregnant as teenager and the risk of becoming pregnant as a teenager increases with the number of adverse childhood experiences. According to a 2004 study, one-third of teenage pregnancies could be prevented by eliminating exposure to abuse, violence, and family strife he researchers note that "family dysfunction has enduring and unfavorable health consequences for women during the adolescent years, the childbearing years, and beyond.

I dont think that only abuse, domestic violence and family strive are the reasons for teen pregnancy. There are various other vital causes for teen pregnancy. The way our society has changed, the way we are accepting relationships and the way we have given freedom to our dear ones. There are lot of causes. But the biggest problem is that this has increased more among the educated section of teens.

I think more people are being educated now and are more careful with pregnancy than they were long time ago.
I think the teen pregnancy happens mostly in dysfunctional families that live in bad neighborhoods and are not educated enough about the issue.

I agree with your stats. There are also other reasons. Luxuary life and experimentation also leads to early preganancy. Kids watch a lot of movies and try experimentation. i have a little friend of mine a school going girl. She tells me that most of her friends have lost their virginity by the age of 14. This is bcos of the movies they watch.

Girls that get knocked up typically wh0r3 themselves, due to their low self esteem and high stress. They let guys take advantage of them because they want to conform with highschool "standards" that they believe in. Which are not true typically. Our generation has been raised horribly, and its just going to keep getting worse until aids strickens all of the world.
