We all know that Mozilla Firefox is an award-winning Web browser, has security, speed and new features that will change the way you use the Web. You can use Persona to style and it is very easy to install themes that help you personalize the look of your Firefox. Whatever you like to do online, there's an add-on waiting to make it better. On the other hand, Windows Internet Explorer 8 is packed with the new features that make web browsing faster, easier, and safe than ever, There are features called accelerators and web slices to use with. You can even add more from the Internet Explorer gallery to personalize the browser in a way that works for you. What do you think are the advantages and disadvantages of each of these browser?

I used to be an IE user and I found it pretty descent and reliable enough but then Mozilla came over. It took me for awhile to get used of it and since then I found it to be convenient as with the others but some applications and features came from a different tabs. So, I am no longer going back to the explorer just for convenience sake and I am used to with it already and it would be time efficient as well if you know where to go already. In the end, it boils down to someones preference and convenience.

I think IE is already defeated by Mozilla Firefox in the market by popularity rating and it keeps on convincing more users all over the world because of the versatility in particular browsing capability.

i would always prefer Mozilla. It is very convenient for me. I have not been using internet Explorer for quite sometime. So i don't wanna try it again. I have now become very used to Mozilla. Don't feel like changing to Internet Explorer. But i find Internet Explorer a little boring. Mozilla is a little innovative. I always find something new to do with it.

I do agree with you smartjack! This is the most practical way of using the browser without interruption for a hassle free browsing... We should first know all the convenient functions and applications, then if we find it is friendly user so we must stick on it.

When I purchased this computer that I am using right now, the vendor did not installed a licensed operating system. Instead, they installed a pirated one. I cannot change it anymore because I have already lots of things running with this current system. If I change it to a licensed one, it will be very time consuming. The result is, I cannot update anything here that is related to Microsoft, including Windows Explorer. So I haven't tried yet what you're telling us about IE 8. The only one I am using right now is Firefox.

Hi boboypete,
Ya i like Mozilla Firefox too as its easy, fast and securely to browse internet than any other browser i have use so many browser but i am very much satisfied with Firefox :)
The main advantage i am observed when compare to i-explorer is browser hanging and not responding is absolute 0 in Firefox.
flock -web-browser has most of the Firefox features and i don't know about its security treats
Happy Browsing :)
