My husbands brother and nephew are always putting ranch dip on their pizza, dipping the pizza and the crust in the dressing, What do you think about that? Do you like that too or do you think that is gross?

I've never done this so I really don't know if it's gross or not. Some people use ranch for EVERYTHING, but I'm picky on what I use it with. Some kids use it as well to add flavor to whatever it is they are eating.

I tried it once and I didn't like it. I prefer to add jalapenos and hot sauce.

Ranch dressing on pizza is actually very good. I dip my crust in it all the time. I also dip it in French or Italian dressing sometimes. Here is another idea for you...mix peanut butter and grape jelly together, and dip your pizza crust in that. It is delicious...

Hi,
I don't think this is weird at all. In fact, I do it all the time! A few of my friends would always put ranch dressing on everything like pizza and chicken and things like that. I used to think they were a bit nuts, I thought it was weird to put salad dressing on anything other than salad. But I did eventually try it, and now I love it, especially on pizza!

I do it, and I don't think it is weird lol. Actually, I think it is good. I started doing it years ago when I saw my nephew doing it. I have never seen anyone do that before, so I wasn't sure what to make of it. I gave it a try and I ended up liking it.

I have a few friends who put Ranch on everything (like Pizza) and they act as if it's a universal dressing haha I personally don't do it. I've only ever put Ranch dressing on one pizza before and it's because it was a spicy buffalo chicken pizza so it actually made sense to do it. It was essentially like eating wings so the ranch dressing complimented it nicely.

I don't think there's anything wrong with putting ranch dressing on your pizza, if you're not worried about fat or calories. Ranch dressing usually has about 18 grams or more of fat in every tablespoon, so that could add way more calories to your pizza, which already is a highly caloric food anyway. We've tried the light ranch dressings, which cut down the fat dramatically, but the no fat dressings to me taste like plastic, so we don't usually buy them at all. Anyway, that would be my biggest concern about dipping pizza in ranch dressing. As far as taste, it sounds like they are just wanting more flavor, because the edge of the crust usually is a little bland (doesn't have toppings on it). There's nothing wrong with adding flavor to things, it's just what you add and how healthy or unhealthy it is. We all have different tastes, though.
