'I Love You' / myLot

What does the line 'I love you' even mean these days? Personally i will never say these words to someone without meaning them, the only people i have ever said these words to are my mother and father. Do you think it is over used? Is it special to you? What effects does it have on you? Why is it such a big deal?

You are very right. Even I never felt good in saying 'I Love You'. In fact it has meaing and beautiful when a child is greeted by their parents. Because the purity of love other than that is getting deteriorated. People just say for the sake of it without knowing the vastness of the usage. It is such a beautiful three word will be more bigger when it spelt with its inbuilt meaning and used with real love within the mind. The time gone and I hate simply saying 'I Love You'. I agree! People just saying 'i love you' for the sake of it in a way ruin it for other people, it makes it less special. Saying 'I love You' to someone use to really mean something but nowadays i dont think it holds as much importance as it once did and thats a shame. Does this mean we are going to have to go to bigger lengths to show the people we love how we really feel?

If the other party is able to understand our feelings, there is no need to express it by words, but in the society, it become popular to express by words. That is why these concepts are become important and we are giving stress to such words like, I love you, Thank you, etc. Regards, Thank-s

I too have said these three words to my parents, but also to the special man in my life who I do love very much, and to my children. I would never tell someone that I loved them if I didn't. Those three words to me are powerful words, words that have meaning and emotions. I think it is important to tell someone that you love them, but that is my personal opinion because that is the way that I am. I do not say it everyday to these special people in my life, because I do not need to, they know how I feel, but I do say it. It makes me happy to know that I am loved if someone tells me. I do think that it can be over used a lot these days, and I think that it should only be said if it is really a genuine feeling that one person has for another.
