I know the Germans works well in their last few games before their match with the Argentines but never expected to be like it. The Germans crushed Maradona's team in such a well oiled machine. What made it more astonishing is the goal they made within 3 minutes of play time. I knew that Germany will have something in their arsenal but did not expect the stunning 4-0 win considering Argentina's resurgence in their group matches.
But the score won't lie. It seems Germany will go to the finals.

It really was a fantastic performance from the Germans. They first scored from a training setup routine that stunned the Argentinians with Mueller heading home. Then the Argentinians dominated the possession till the 60th minute, but could not make any meaningful chances in the final third as Germany stoutly resisted. Then came the Klose moment who with his 13th World Cup goal sealed the match for Germany. Then after Frederich scored, he again applied the icing on the cake with his 4th goal of the tournament.
Cheers!

It was indeed a stunning defeat for Argentina. Amidst in the tournament, Argentina is a powerhouse team in this sport. The score 4-0 of that win was lopsided. I did not imagine that to happen for Argentina. Well, the Germans played superb so we must credit their efforts.

No wonder. Germany won because they played as a whole. They played as eleven players do, and not depending upon one or two so-called stars. Argentina is all about Messi, and when he's completely marked, the attack is off. Now Maradona should be responsible for not calling some team players like Javier Zanetti and Esteban Cambiasso...

Messi has never been in the limelight since the beginning of the campaign and I think he never score a single goal? Not quite sure though but he hasn't produced so many goals the way he's doing it in the commercial league. The Germans were just a solid team, no question with that but what stuns me is the score. I can go with 2-0 but 4-0 was just too much.

Well to be honest nothing new around this 2 teams. Germany did the same thing, they got Argentina out on 2006. Germany came to this Cup with lots of neew blood players and left behind the good old members.
Even Ballak their captain who was off due to an injury played from the outside giving them what they needed, Trust

You have a good point in there but that was 4 years ago and we saw more and more changes and improvements from the Argentina side. Messi had a great leap to stardom after 2006 and even captured the best player of the year. Though I agree with you all the side but I just can't believe how they have crushed an Argentine team like that. 2-0 would be enough but 4-0 is outrageous and too much to handle. hehe
