If pregnant with a severely disabled baby the mother is asked if she wants to have an abortion. I found out at 36 weeks pregnancy that I was expecting a boy with spina bifida and hydrocephalus. He was born at home and then spent three weeks in intensive care for babies in hospital. He is now a happy little 3 year old.
My disabled son goes to a playgroup for children with special needs. Some of the children there have speech delay, autism, down syndrome or something else but it is not known what as yet. He gets physiotheraphy on his legs. He won't ever be able to walk. The disabled children's support team took him out this morning. He went to paint some pots.
It is a shame when programs for the disabled are being cut. Every child with special needs deserves support.

I know many people in my country which are very negatively to children and people with special needs. I have heard many comments about such people, that nature have created them not for living but for dearth. Also they think that people with needs must be wiped out from civilization because they only take other money and work away without any investment in society.
Of course I can't to agree with such opinion, but its very hard to be parent for such child. And also I think that they don't get what they need for their support from their governments, and only what they can do is to ask help to others who have left some part of their conscience and decency.
