i can do at least 3 a month.hehe well, sometimes it depends on what am i thinking.sometimes i felt like busy and can't think some topics to discuss. for me,it's really hard to think of topic most mylotters would enjoy responding to.sometimes i feel like i have lots of topics in mind but i can't find time to start it or sometimes i felt like there's little amount of responders that will attend my discussion.sometimes i also felt like responding more than starting new one cause by starting you should also have time to comment back on your responses sometimes i just get easily tired and felt bored when i happen to comment to my own topic.that's why i also understand some people here who don't have much time to comment specially those who are really busy and can't have time to comment to those responses which are hundreds or like close to it.i haven't had a discussion which strikes to many responders here.and i just felt like i can be good in responding not starting.that's life.i think i'm a good listener than good speaker.

yes, even if we just liked to comment on all responses.we seem to be busy with our lives also.there are times i find it hard to respond to others even i make a bookmark on it but i hardly had time to post my response.sometimes i do feel sad specially when the starter is my friend,i feel sad for not able to respond to their discussions.

Same with me. I even can't make one discussion a week! I prefer to answer or respond to discussions rather than start my own discussions since I don't have any idea what should I post. I started discussion about how to be creative so we can post many discussions http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/2331312.aspx. I just curious how they could post many discussions a day. Even though I have receive many responses but still I can't make many discussions

What a variety of answers. The majority seem to think the number of discussions started should match their ability to respond to. I hadn't thought about the difference between starting a topic and starting a discussion. My goal is to start a discussion. I have been successful about 50% of the time. I am thinking very carefully regarding topics. Many of my discussions are not, I get 2 or 3 responses. Even though I answer the comment, a discussion does not start. I hope to learn more about starting a discussion as time goes on.

There is a HUGE difference between starting a topic and starting a discussion.
I start maybe one a week, sometimes even less. I must have time to be able to interact commenting on all of the responses and I could not possibly do that if I started many - just like I could not start several offline conversations at the same time either.

Welcome to mylot. Honestly speaking I do not start many discussions because I need to think a lot before posting one. I have got something to write about so ld be posting one now.

I Don't try to set a goal because it's hard for me to go back and respond to all the discussions as well. I try to respond more than i post my own discussions. i probably post 1/3 the discussions then 2/3 do i respond to. People don't like when you ignore the discussion. So I try not to. Thanks for posting! have a good night XoXo

It all depends on my time and mood. If the discussion topics are interesting I can just go on and on. Number varies each day from 1 to 20. Sometimes I do not find any discussions interesting enough to write anything.
