I hate them. Tests do not prove anything more than the fact that you can past tests. They do not reflect critical thinking abilities which are more important in real life situations. They certainly do not reflect ones ability to improvise or be creative either. They just measure your ability to repeat the answer that is already known. What use is that?

However, exams have a good side to it. When you score well, you get a satisfaction beyond most things in life.
But if you do badly, chances are you will be very moody for days.
Can't believe I'm being manipulated by the numbers of the papers.

I don't like exams too!! Sometimes they r not fair. For example, in my cultural history exam, all the other students cheated but i couldn't!! I'm not so good at it. But they got higher grades than me. and I think it is not fair!! Exams are nothing, even proffesional people can fail.

honestly, i'd rather have quizzes than exams. I mean, who likes to study the whole chapters of a book,? Even the smartest student would prefer quizzes than exams, unless he/she is the type of person who wants to test him/her self how good he/she has become.

Although most of the students dislike exams, but it is the most obvious part of a student's life. As a mother, I encourage my daughter so that she gets over of exam phobia. However, if you are fully prepared for your exam then you should not be phobic. You should learn every subject very well to overcome your exam phobia. You mom, dad and teachers can very much help you. Otherwise, you can take advantage of online tutoring services like tutorteddy.com to get prepared for your exam.

I like exams! If the professor included what he said he would, that is. Haha. I've had professors who included topics which we did not discuss in class! Talk about torture. On a lighter note though, it is partially true that exams do not prove how smart you are(but of course, they are not the only sources of your grade in class). On the other hand, exams should be designed to be evaluate the students' learning in class or in a particular topic.
"Good learners can fail in little mistakes, bad learners can pass from chances" - this is so true! Luck though is an essential part of life. Hehe. =)

There were times when I was still in college when I thought that I was very weird and that was when I liked taking exams especially if I like the subject and if the subject is challenging to me. My husband said I am somewhat nerdy for feeling that way with exams. Well, I guess I was but on the other hand, I think it was good for me because I get to have high scores in those subjects.

You don't need to ask this, cos' you know my answer.
In exams, you have to memorise every word of your textbook in order to get a decent score (maybe not your case). But what I'm tested on is useless in daily life. For example, why the heck do I have to remember the dimensions of that damn ship of the Chinese emperor? I mean, when you have a job, will your boss ask you something like that?
Also, exams seldom test you on stuff outside of the syllabus. Which means that even if you have the best score in science, you are most likely not the most knowledgeable in that subject. Most likely you're just good at memorizing stuff.
I hate exams, unless they really test you on something outside of your textbook.

I dont mind doing exams, i usually do well at them, but i do think they are wrogn for some people. I have a friend who can never finish her exams because she always get really worked up in the exam and starts having a little bit of a panic attack. In all of her coursework she gets A and A*'s and with her exams and coursework combined averagelly shes gets C's and B's, which means she gets about a d on her exams.
They really need something more than just exams for some people.

As a student we can't avoid our exam because we need to our exam.Without exam we can't go for another standard to study.I always wait for my favorite subject to come so that I can do it well.If I spoil my exam then I don't feel doing....
