Hello friends,
I have found that his year soccer ball is very smooth and low weighted. I am saying this regarding from my experience of this year FIFA World Cup. Here are some reasons -
1. In the match between Germany and England there was a goal which hasn't been considered as a goal for the astonishing movement of the ball. The player when kicked the ball and the ball got a tough smashed in the upper bar it use to go inside the goal [according to the science], but it happens just the opposite, the ball got backed in the field rather than entering in the goal.
2. You may noticed that players are having many high shots which were about 10 feets high from the goal. Have you seen so many high shots before? This clearly proves that the ball is soft and low weighted.
3. Notice the jumping of the ball after it drops in the field from a high height.
These are the reasons that proves that this year soccer ball is rather very soft and low weighted.
What do you say?

I think that Adidas Jabulani ball affected the World Cup because of its unexpected trajectory and so the shots and passing were all wrong at some time. After 70 km/h the ball catches an unexpected trajectory making it hard for goalkeepers and also for the players.

The first point you gave was pure incompetence by the referee and his assistants to make such a mistake when the ball was three yards in the goal. Next, of all any person with a basic understanding of science would have guessed that the ball would have had to go in and come out.
But yes, the other points are valid though the ball jumping high has equally to do with the fact that at high altitudes due to lighter atmosphere the ball tends to bounce a bit high as well.
Cheers!

It is not all about the ball, it is about execution and the ability to make plays impressively. The Germans demonstrated why they are on top. They won handily over the might Argentinians. Playing impressively, dominantly and true teamwork is the name of the game.

The ball crossing the line and then coming out of the goal has happened many times before, i think that it is more to do with the spin on the ball after it hit the crossbar and not the weight of the ball.
I don't know why they have to use a new ball for the world cup why not have a standard ball that all the world uses and can get used to.

i dont know about any science but i definitely know about soccer. soccer is pure talent and consistent hardwork.it will take a while for players to get used to the ball but i dont think this should be the problem.and about whos shot are you talking about???????????
lampard is just awesome.........
