I would be interested to know what people here do in their spare time as a hobby. I know that, for example, many people might consider the gym a hobby: but for many it is a means to keep fit.
If you were to divorce, keeping fit/ day to day cooking/ broadening your mind etc., from actual interests what would you list as hobbies?
Since I asked, it's only fair that I go first...
Collecting ancient Egyptian or Roman replicas- I have Roman, Greek, Egyptian, and Chinese swords, a mock sarcophagus for a DVD store- pictured..
Building and painting Italian WWII aircraft models.
Running a model railway.
Colecting books related to military (mostly ancient)history.
Oriental cookery and the discovery of ancient recipes.

My hobby is so interesting because my friends are saying I want to practice it! I love to paint, this is my top hobby! I have a collection of paintings... but I love also collecting songs in CD or DVD from my favorite artists! These hobbies are still part of my spare time even when I was still teenager (maybe 14 or 15)... I need to develop more techniques out of my painting skill, later on I will upload copies here if I get my time to have a blog sooner or later. I know it is very small percentage of people who used to have the ability to paint (in my case, maybe God created me with the in-born talent... possessing skill on painting).

I think it's great to be able to paint. As a kid I was good at art, but as soon as our subjects were streamlined at school- we called them 'options' my father insisted that art was dropped. So now my painting is restricted to camouflage on models- still challenging, as it is miniature. Oh, and skirting board, but that is not so fascinating!

As a travel agent which from its title I often goes traveling guiding tourist. Every time I am on tour, I always buy some stuff of the place and my favorite collections are "Key chains" that has a print on the place. I have more than 20 collections now I also ask from friends if they travel abroad to buy me some. This is indeed my obsession.
