For the longest I can remember I have totally forgotten that there is this thing called nap. Lol. I guess I've been really busy working but today I just felt too tired my eyes hurt, my hands hurt, my back hurt. Gosh... So, I turned on the sleepy channel (It's a channel I turned on so i can fall asleep) and in a few seconds I'm in dreamland. 3 hours later I feel refreshed and ready to go back to work. Have you taken your afternoon nap lately?

hi there. i love sleeping but due to my work as nurse i cant take naps especially the afternoon, and we are not even allowed to sleep if we are on the night shift. Its nice to hear from you that you got a sleepy channel. but on the other hand if i got day offs i usually stay at home and sleep all day to gain my health...

Hi buter line: I think that, this is the negative part of a hard work, but at the same time we have to accept its cons when we are doing the thing we love and I think that your job it's simply amazing and you are helping people so it's logycal that you have to be awake in the afternoon and even at night. Thanks for your answer. Have a nice day.

Hi digi dogo: It seems that you are a very organize person. In my case, I think that discipline it's fundamental but at the same time, we can give ourselves some permissions, because our job it's not everything and I think that if we plan our day we could take a nap at the middle of the afternoon. Thanks for your answer. Have a nice day.

I don't take as many as I did earlier this year, but I still will flake out on the bed and go off to dream land. Earlier, between college classes, stress, extreme pain and trying to take care of home repairs I was exhausted. I would barely make it to my bed to crash and take a nap. Fortunately the stress levels and other causes have slowed down, so I'm not taking as many naps. Now, when I've either been under a lot of stress or am not feeling real well I'll treat myself to a nice long nap. Of course I ALWAYS have company in the form of four cats and a dog watching over me.
We seem to expect to have huge amounts of energy that will never end, we forget a LOT about the simple pleasures in life like taking a refreshing nap in the afternoon. Especially when we are hurting...in fact if we don't go to town today, I will slip into the bedroom and take a snooze myself.

most chinese people take after lunch nap. if you went to china couple decades ago, you would find difficulty to do business between 12 - 2pm because everybody was sleep... right now is better.
i changed this hobby after i came to america. however, since i develop health problems now i am doing this again! it helps! i believe many cfs patients do this too.

Everyday. But that's only because I am working at home these days. After lunch, I always take a nap for about an hour. I wake up refreshed after that ready to work again. If I return to office, I might have to forego this luxury.

Hi the advocate: I think that one of the best parts of working at home or working as an independent is when you have control of the things you do so you can make a little space for you to take a npa. In my first years as a graduated I know I'll have to work hard but at the same time I wish, some day I'll be able to have my own job. This would be perfect for me. Thanks for your answer. Have a nice day.

Hi santosmarichris, I still remember I have adopted the habit of having afternoon nap since my lower secondary school days. I couldn't recall the actual date for it happened long before. Yeah, that time I always felt drowsy after I was back from school in the afternoon. might be the heavy load of assignments were really boring and I would fall asleep resting my head on my arms on the desk unconsciously
After waking I felt energetic and refreshed. I took a cup of Milo then continued my homework until all of them were accomplished Since then I love to have a short siesta in the afternoon to get myself vigorous. Yeah, I enjoy having a comfortable afternoon nap till now lol...
Happy posting!

I do sometimes have a nap during the day. I am a night person and have insomnia so sometime I am still sleeping when it is time for my afternoon nap. LOL. With a sleeping disorder and being on medication for severe depression I do sometimes take an afternoon or early evening nap.

I haven't had an afternoon nap in years. I find that it is difficult if not impossible for me to be able to sleep during the day unless I am working night shift. Of course the fact that I have two children of my own running around does make a lot of difference, but still I'm not able to sleep during the day because I feel like it is far too bright in the house to be able to actually relax. However, I do know a lot of people that regularly take afternoon naps.

i sure do, whenever i have the opportunity to do so... and i try hard to make the time for it now, unlike when i was younger and felt invulnerable... afternoon naps are considered a luxury, but oftentimes, it is more healthful...

When I was younger I hate to take afternoon naps. It gets away my playing time but my mom force me to because she said I would easily grow up if I take my nap. When I was older, I tend to like afternoon naps because I can get time to daydream about anything I like. Now, I try to avoid it already because I find it hard to sleep at night if a take afternoon naps. I usually use the afternoon reading novels when I don’t have work.

I haven't gotten an afternoon nap since my oldest was a new born. I will maybe get one once school starts again and I have less driving and perhaps a child who will be able to nap undisturbed by a loud crazy sibling.

I always do on Sunday after church. I need it to recharge my batteries so I can get up and get ready for the week ahead. Naps are long forgotten by adults because nobody is telling us to lay down and rest. They only do that in kindergarten, ah, such fond memories of painted walls and 1 inch mats to lie down on. Get some rest will ya?

I often feel the need to take a nap in the afternoon but it is not always a possibility. Some other days I can not keep my eyes open and have no choice but to take a nap.

I take a nap almost every day! I have a disability and everything wears me out. The highlight of my day is nap time, sometimes I take more than one. I seem to have more energy and think clearer after a nap than I do after sleeping all night! I don't work, so I can usually take a nap whenever I want.

I wish I could take naps. I do have the time sometimes but I can't remember the last time I took a nap. The reason is I feel like crap the rest of the day when I wake up from a nap. I feel groggy and drained, it just makes me feel worse for some reason.
