Vamos Espanya..!! Vamos Rafa..!! Rafa just collected his 8th grand slam silverware by a 3 set victory from Berdych. Just as I expect it to happen. Slowly but surely, Rafa is crawling to get more awards in grand slam and Roger starts to fade again. Eight more to go to equal Roger's fate.!!

This could just be double treat for the Spanish sports lovers with Rafa winning the Wimbledon and the Spain lifting the World Cup in South Africa. Rafa has fulfilled his part of the bargain, now it remains for the Spanish football team to fulfill their part of the deal!! I think Rafa was excellent this year and deserved to win, but was really surprised at how easy it was for him in the final. I expected Berdych to give him a much tougher fight. Cheers! Ram

Don't be so fast, world cup finals hasn't started yet though Spain (I think) is a better team but just as the same with Brazil, the Netherlands can land another upseat. You are right at the point, I believe too that Rafa is just way better this year.

I was surprised to see that he cruised through the finals. He made it look so easy too. But I am glad that he won. People are always going on about him being a one surface guy so I'm glad he's winning on other surfaces. This just goes to show that he can win on other surfaces besides clay. Now, all he has to do is win a US Open to be one of the few that has won at each of the 4 major slams.

I think he was able to step up and not just be contented in winning at the same surface all the time. I think he realized that to be one of the legends, he needs to win one of the other surfaces.

He made a comfortable win against his opponent.Rafa never gave a chance to tomas to break his serve. . Nadal is the second Spaniard to win the Wimbledon twice.Congratulations to the Spaniard and wishing a success for the years to come.

Truly indeed. He never wasted any time to let Berdych come back and I think Rafa is much more eager to add his silverware in the grass courts which before always eluded him.
