What are your plans for the 4th of July? I think this is the first year we really didn't make any plans except for putting off a few fireworks tonight. We usually have a famly cookout but no one has mentioned it as of yet.

I really like hearing about plans for the 4th of july, we celebrate bonfire night here and most people don't go all out for it. This is something I have a lot respect for as Americans do put on a good show and a friend from Kansas showed me a video of theirs a few years back and it seemed to have a lot of thought taken into the whole day. It's nice :)

We ended up going to an adjoining city to celebrate the 4th of July this year because our city celebrated a day early being that the holiday actually fell on a Sunday this year. Our neighbors typically go to this other city to see their fireworks and they invited us to join them as well this year. It was a lot of fun because the fireworks were shot off a lake and it felt a lot cooler than it felt when we celebrated in Lexington the day before.
