Getting a job on oDesk

I registered in the beginning of May and have since got four jobs. I started at the Data Entry level, which in my eyes is the lowest paying level and then moved on to website matters such as SEO, blogging en setting up. So far I am very excited about oDesk. What is your experience in oDesk?

Hey, Glad to hear that you have a couple of jobs :) I signed up for oDesk about a week or 2 ago and have yet to get a job there unfortunatly :( I have applied for many, and many I simple havn't heard back from, most pick other clients. I have done all the tests and filled in my portfolio to the best of my ability :) Best of luck in the future! Lee.

I guess I was just lucky then :-) Maybe you should rehash your application cover letters?

Maybe so, but I believe that my cover letters are of very high quality (I write a new one for every position, maybe I should start making a standard one that requires a little editing :D ) Lee.

I'm odesk member 3+ years and have got only 1 job. to be honest I didnt applied often till then and didnt used their monitoring software either

Same here, though I know that I have enough experience with the task but it seems that we really need LUCK with ODESK or maybe I need a sexy picture to get hire. LOL Good for you that you got a job that quick.
