i don't know to whom Christians worship
the father , the son or the holy spirit
or Mary
or to the sons as told in palms 82 : 6
any way , being a Muslim , apart from 5 times prayer ,
my worship is in helping someone without expectations (as per quran)
my worship is in sponsoring someone to get medicated ( as per quran)
my worship is in doing my business with honesty ( as per quran)
my worship is in performing my duties to my family (as per quran)
my worship is in treating my neighbor honestly (as per quran)
and list goes on .......
so for a muslim it is quran in every second of a day
if he follows it he is performing prayer 24x7 , whole through his life
and my prayer belongs to one and only GOD who is the LORD of the Universe

First off, welcome to mylot. May you have the fantastic, educational experience I am having.
I am a born-again Christian, meaning I have accepted the Lord Jesus into my life and follow his guidance as in the Bible. I don't have a set time for prayer, I am in constant communication Him. I pray thanks, help, worship, etc.
Our Bible tells us to do the same actions your "quaran" does. We take care of each other, do business honestly, etc.
We worship God, the Father, Jesus, the Son and the Holy Spirit. I do not worship Mary. I recognize her as the Mother of Jesus. I talk direct to Jesus and God and the Holy Spirit. I hope this was helpful
God bless you

hello tex
firstly , pl understand ,neither i am mocking at you prayer nor at your religion
i have seen Christians praying Mary ,
in India , there are lots of temples for Mary
if Christianity claims to be a monotheism then how come there are various gods
as per you ,you are praying three gods namely , the father ,the son and the holy spirit while entire bible says there is only one GOD
even Jesus says , he cant do any thing but it was GOD who makes him to do (john 5:30)
further pl refer (Isaiah 43:10) where GOD himself says ....."before him there was no god and after him there will be no god"
so the message of bible is very clear , THERE IS ONLY ONE GOD
as far as talking to GOD , if it like as we are talking now, i don't believe
if it is spiritual talking , then every human talks to him(GOD) so that his prayers are being answered

When we say we are praying to the trinity, although they are named three, they are all one. God gave us His Son Jesus, and when Jesus went to sit at the right hand of God, God left us with the Holy Spirit. If I were in India, I would not go to a temple for Mary. In my belief, Mary is not part of the trinity, she is the Mother of Jesus. I'm not sure I was clear in my response. If I didn't answer your question, please friendship me and we can discuss it via private message.

The common misconception about worship, is that we worship only through songs or music. Fact is, we must worship Him, in everything we do. How? Let His love and what He did to you reflect on the very things you are doing everyday. You are worshipping Him by being His obedient child, by being a loving kid to your parents, by being a good friend, etc etc. David, the best worshipper in the Bible, often sings in his worship, but read the Psalms, David also cries out. His crying is a form of worship to God. Worship means to give worth to someone. So give worth to HIn by living out his teachings in your everyday life. God bless friend.

RIGHT ON!!! You hit the nail square on its head. We do worship by song, prayer, fellowship, 24/7/267. We honor Him with obedience.
I appreciate your comments and sharing.
God blesses me everyday with my life and through Jesus.
God bless you

I don't do anything special. I just talk to him on my own. I can't attend church because I work on weekends. But I think it is all about how a person feels about the God that they believe in, and do we really have to do it in a church to prove our faith in him?

I understand working weekends. That does play havoc with committing to a church. However, I believe that God wants us to have fellowship with other Christians (or whatever belief you have). I get joy worshiping God with my friends at church. Our church also had study groups that meet on other than Sunday. Some churches have a Wed night meeting. Just a thought.
God Bless you

Worshipping the Lord is something very personal and every individual has his / her own way. I being a Hindu should be visiting Temples on a regular basis, keeping fasts (a day without food) and so many other things. I do not follow these. Instead, I have my prayers to the Lord done in the silence of the room from my heart. I think this is okay and enough. I respect His existence and feel that I owe Him for all the things that He has given me.
Hope I am not worng

I respect all religions. If you are fallowing the guidelines of your religion, then you are not wrong. I am not Hindu, so I have my own guidelines in the Bible. I don't know what is required for entrance into heaven for you. I know for me, I have accepted Jesus. I accomplish what God tells me to do. I witness to other people about Jesus. I set an example by my behavior, words and actions. What is preventing you from following your guidelines in Hinduism?

i worship Him by thinking that He is my employer -- and so i give my best in whatever I do -- because I am doing it for Him.

What a unique perspective but very effective. And the reward is far more wonderful than our earthly employers. I am looking forward to my reward of eternal life in heaven.
